It looks like media matters created fake accounts that they then used to follow certain content on Twitter. They were basically gaming the system to make X then present them with offensive material that the could then screen shot next to advertising, THEN they sent those screen shots to the advertisers saying X is showing your adds next to objectionable content!!!

And happy is now sad 😢 that a scheme to undermine X and Elon Musk is exposed.

He launched a law suit. BFD. Bogus law suits are filed every day in the US. That doesn't mean this lawsuit is bogus but it also doesn't mean it has merit either. Instead of jumping to conclusions, why not wait until the facts are known?

Why can't the platforms (X, Facebook, Etc.) let advertisers enter preferences for where they want their ads to appear or not appear. Ad rates would be adjusted accordingly.
.
Basically, an algorithmic way to implement "Do not display our ads with pro-Nazi, pro-Putin, ... content. DO display our ads with weather reports, sports scores, ... content." The cost of weather report ads goes up and the cost of pro-Nazi ads goes down.
.
From a different analytical perspective, if the big advertisers (Apple, IBM, ...) saw no major change in their ad metrics (clicks, actual sales, etc.) with during a week away from X, maybe they won't want to go back anyway. "Not worth the cost."
.
As far as doing financial harm to X is concerned, Musk was doing a pretty good of that on his own without any extra help! In October, Musk valued X at $19B (for alloocating employee stock options), down from the $44 B valuation when purchased.

It’s been widely publicized that musk wildly overpaid for Twitter and will take some time for him to make back his money.

As far as the law suit goes, don’t you think that Twitter quite is capable of seeing exactly WHAT media matters did?

So let me ask you two lefties? Do you condone what twitter was doing prior to Musk buying it?
