appeals to Americans.  And NO it is NOT Barack Obama,  It is George Bush, who I disagree with on so many counts.

 
Why couldn't Trump deliver a commentary like this?  He has a speech writer, just as a speech writer, probably wrote this for George Bush.

 
Back to the same conclusion, either Trump was not smart enough to know what was needed, or he didn't want to appeal to the decency in all Americans.

Look, I'm glad he said it, but what the fuck did Dubya do in eight years to reduce racism? Oh, right, he gave lots of jobs in the military to minorities who then got limbs blown off in his feckless and illegal war in Iraq.
Fuck him.
He's just thrilled that Trump makes him look barely acceptable by comparison.
