While Montagnier did co-discover the AIDS virus, Gallo was certainly a part of the discovery...

But what the cited report fails to discuss, is that Gallo's test for the AIDS virus was put into practice within the US - thus helping reduce the infection rate due to blood transfusions, the French refused to use the test, stubbornly insisting on using inferior tests, or worse - NO TEST.

So, for Montagier's efforts, thousands of French citizens were exposed to the AIDS virus, and subsequently contracted AIDS and died... sure some with the French blood bank went to jail, but on the whole - the entire french academic and social medical system was culpable... and for that they get the "no bell" prize...

This is horse shit.

Hot chicks, bad politics. On the other hand, they haven't been in a war since 1814.

Who knew it was because of this?? This is why I always read your posts, I learn something every time... (I still think french-fagishness is a strong contributing factor... "transfusions" of infected-semen into each others asses and THEN stubbornly insisting on using inferior tests...)

issues with the French blood bank went down... people we were speaking to one day, were in jail the next day....

sooooo much arrogance for such a small country...
