Abe Foxman has got a list.

Yep, good folks, Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamantion League needs to reacquaint himself with the mission statement of his once-proud organization, or leave it and establish a new group called the Pro Defamation league.

Seems that Abe is put out a tad by American citizens exercising their right to free speech, to assembly, and to petition the gov't when these rights are used to criticize Israel.  That might even be you!

Not just run-of-the-mill criticism, mind you;  Foxman and friends "...have identified the largest and most well-coordinated anti-Israel groups. These groups are not promoting peace, they are spreading propaganda to assault Israel's legitimacy.  We want to Americans to know who these groups are and what it is they really stand for, which is to delegitimize the Jewish state.”

No clue is given as to how any of that is determined.  Jaundiced Israel Lobby watchers like me suspect any and all cricicism of Israel fall into that category in Abe's ever-troubled and ever-so-fevered imagination.

And who are these dastarlyl anti-Semites posing as anti-zionists?  The usual suspects: "Among the groups on the list are Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER), The Council on American-Islamic Relations, If Americans Knew, the Muslim American Society, and the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation."

OMG!!!  Hey did they miss ACORN?  LMAO!


So, there you are - peacefully and innocently exercising  your Allah-given rights as an American citizen to dissent from America's relentless and self-destructive pursuit of Israel's foreign policy, and Abe marks  you as an enemy of Israel.  One wonders what you'd have to do to make it to the level of being an "existential threat."  Among the things Foxman does not want you to do: "...conducting global campaigns to defend and free Israeli and Arab human rights activists, supporting the growth of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement through divestment from companies that profit from what they call “the occupation”, and even supporting “alternative Jewish rituals that include Palestinian narratives.”

Yep, you are one dangerous faux-genecidal anti-semite mofo if you should think and act in any of those ways unapporoved of by Abe.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself - go surrender to the nearest Homeland Security, FBI, Department of Justice, or US Attorney's office and get yourself shipped down to Guantanamo.  Right now! Stop reading this, and turn yourself in RIGHT NOW!

Abe and his prevaricating, mendacious henchmen tell us, with  mentronomic regularity, superhuman dedication and without respite, that the jihadidt enemies of Israel hate America because of America's freedoms.  Apparently Foxman has some troubles of his own  accepting the exercise of your American freedom  to dissent from his beliefs and his political priorities.

Yep, Abe's getting long in the tooth, he's no longer the spry young boychick he once was, and perhaps his increasingly shrill and more-than-somewhat erratic verbal meanderings reflect that.  Time for new blodd at the ADL, perhaps.

We might also, were we of a philosophical bent,  note that not all the enemies of America's freedoms speak Arabic, oppose Israel, and adhere to the Islamic faith.  Some of the greatest threats to America's freedoms may indeed come in the guise of those who claim to be the most stalwart and vigilant defenders of the same.

Yep, i'm waithing for the inevitable endgame here - for old Abe to get up in front of some press conference or another and hysterically and hystrionically start to wave sheets of paper  and claim to have the names of 204 jihadists at large in the USA.  Or will it be 57 jihadists at large in the USA?  Or some other number of jihadists at large in the USA?   Time will tell, as foxman solidifies, inevitablty, his reputation as one of the leading neo-McCartyites for the new millenium.



ADL Includes Jewish Group on anti-Israel List

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) published last week its list of the ten most influential and active anti-Israel groups in the United States. The groups listed are ones that organize mass demonstrations featuring extreme anti-Israel and anti-Zionist messages, spread malicious propaganda against Israel, and pursue boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns against Israel.

Among the groups on the list are Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER), The Council on American-Islamic Relations, If Americans Knew, the Muslim American Society, and the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation.

As ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman explained: “While there are hundreds of groups that organize and participate in various anti-Israel activities, we have identified the largest and most well-coordinated anti-Israel groups. These groups are not promoting peace, they are spreading propaganda to assault Israel's legitimacy.  We want to Americans to know who these groups are and what it is they really stand for, which is to delegitimize the Jewish state.”

In what some may see as surprising, the ADL’s list also included a Jewish organization, the Jewish Voice for Peace, an organization which, according to its website, “works to achieve a lasting peace that recognizes the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians for security and self-determination.”

The group boasts of offices in New York and California, 100,000 online activists, chapters across the country and an Advisory Board comprised of numerous prominent Jewish thinkers and artists. Some of its activities, according to the website, include conducting global campaigns to defend and free Israeli and Arab human rights activists, supporting the growth of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement through divestment from companies that profit from what they call “the occupation”, and even supporting “alternative Jewish rituals that include Palestinian narratives.”

Recently, the Jewish Voice for Peace organized a petition signed by more than 150 theater and film professionals, many of them Jews, in support for counterparts in Israel who are boycotting the new theater in the town of Ariel, home to 20,000 Israelis. The petition was signed by four Pulitzer Prize winners, several recipients of Guggenheim Fellowships, a MacArthur Fellowship, a National Medal of Honor and scores of recipients of the highest U.S. acting honors, including the Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Obie and Drama Desk awards. In Israel, the boycott was criticized by all sides of the Jewish political spectrum and the theater companies all said they would ignore it.

The Jewish Voice for Peace refuted the claims by ADL. In a statement the organization released, it claimed, among other things, that the organization is neither anti-Israel nor anti-Zionist and that it does not use its Jewish identity to protect anti-Semites.

The ADL and SPLC are really hideous organizations.

Of the two, the ADL is in my opinion the worse; because of the following.

Only about 2% of Americans self-identify as Jewish and with a few exceptions, the preponderance of Jewish populations in America lives near major population centers. As a result, huge proportions of the American public never *personally* come into contact with a person who self-identifies as Jewish and is AWARE that they have done so,

As a result, their impressions on what it means to be Jewish in America are based on second-hand information.

Along comes the ADL, and the ADL is absolutely in-your-face ostentatiously Jewish. They'll remind you about 5,000 times just to make sure you get it.

THEN they will essentially advocate censoring the Internet, or violating the Second Amendment, or freeing a spy whose perfidy killed Americans or something of the like.

As a result, they generate anti-semitism by directly associating Jewishness with anti-Americanism in the eyes of people who have never heard of the JPFO and many other worthy and patriotic groups of Jewish-Americans.

Then they use the anti-semitism they generate to scare people (and government) into funding them.

They really are odious.

Probably the greatest blow that could be struck against anti-Semitism in this country would be struck by deconstructing the ADL.

      In theory, the ADL opposes racial discrimination of all kinds and in early years had some notable success in dressing down racists of various stripes other than anti-semites. Ahh, but facing down the KKK does not generate much in contributions from black americans while Jewish americans are much more generous with their pocketbook. So the reason for the over focus is not hard to divine.

     But you of all people should be sympathetic to the difficulty of distinguishing criticism of Israel from anti-Semitism given the charter members and IQ challenged posters of the XIA Defamation League who disparage every post you make as anti-Semitic.

CAIR -- the Islamic advocacy group -- spends far too much time trying to get people who express fear of Islamic Fundamentalism fired from their jobs. So they attempt to censor through economic sanction, which IMHO is just another form of terrorism.

CAIR makes Muslims look intolerant. LOL

As for La Raza -- those guys most of the time are just a Latino version of the KKK -- only smarter. Incidentally, La Raza receives U.S. taxpayer funding. Could you imagine me starting an organization called "The Race" for people of European ancestry and actually getting taxpayer funding? But La Raza has pulled it off, showing they are pretty sharp albeit seriously misguided. Personally, I think the U.S. should call their bluff by CEDING all territory that is majority Latino to Mexico and calling it Aztlan.

For some reason I have, generally, better impressions of NAACP. I think this may be because in parts of my early adulthood I volunteered for some NAACP programs that I think were very worthwhile and effective.

Also, even if the NAACP makes some sort of major faux pas; folks of African ancestry make up enough of the U.S. population that everyone at some point has met such a person and been able to form his/her own impressions; so the power of the NAACP to do harm to the image of their purported beneficiaries is much less than that of an organization such as CAIR or ADL.
