I want Trump’s hold to continue ... and further rot GOQ. They are doomed for 2022 without the support of independents.
Only quirk is new state laws where local republican legislators can alter election results if they don’t like the outcome.

candidates were Republicans.  I have always been against electing someone based on who their spouse was.  I don't think Trump cares, he was just returning the loyalty he got from the dead Congressman.  I think the people understood it was a symbolic gesture, but there is no reason to think Trump would not work with the guy who won when he gets reelected.

The facts are indisputable: Donald Trump endorsed Susan Wright.  He recorded a robocall for her.  His PAC spent at least $100,000 on ads supporting her. And then she lost to Ellzey.

 
It's an open-and-shut case. Trump tried to demonstrate his lasting sway within the Republican Party by endorsing Wright.  He chose the wrong horse. He took the "L."  Everyone agrees.
