Teacher violently arrested and handcuffed .
No matter what the rules are at a meeting, you don't get a burly police officer to throw a woman half his size to the ground, lay on top of her, handcuff her and arrest her and take her to a police vehicle. The woman, an English Teacher in a Louisiana School district was questioning a $38,000 salary raise for the Superintendent.
$38,000 salary raise? How many get that kind of money out of taxpayers. Not too long ago a female nurse at a hospital was violently arrested by a police officer in a hospital emergency room for following the hospital policy about drawing blood from a patient. You know what, this country is looking more and more like the "shithole" country the racist choose to call some others....of a moron that doesn't belong in a police uniform, police officers ought to be our best & brightest, educated & paid well for their service, not hired just because they are big tough guys.
I often wonder how the fuck some of these dumb ass power hungry ,control obsessive freaks get in the police force.But then I remember the "Good Ole Boy" system is still alive and well.
Am sure there are many reasons why at times the selection process is less than perfect. But am guessing one of those reasons is manpower shortages that cause under staffing.
Many school districts are short of teachers and teachers do not get paid what they are worth.
Many army recruits have a problem passing physical fitness and intelligence tests--some just squeak by to satisfy entrance requirements.
Then most recently we have witnessed police officers in situations where they lacked good judgement. In a few of these instances they were fired due to their previous poor performance from other police departments.
Not a good excuse, but sometimes schools, the military, and our police departments have manpower shortages that put pressure on hiring authorities. As a result, these hiring authorities get overwhelmed and end up cutting corners and allowing less than desirable candidates to fill critical positions.

The board who ruled her out of order and cut her speaking rights may have acted wrongly, but the whole situation was handled in a pretty civilized way, by the fairly professional black cop, and the reasonably controlled white teacher lady and the mixed crowd who protested in a civilized manner. Compare this to how an illiterate crowd in Haiti would have acted. Not a high point for justice, but at best an injustice handled in a mild mannered well ordered manner.
Sure, Louisiana is no Norway, but that video puts it clearly in the civilized world and not with Haiti or El Salvador.
