They are partnering together to build megawatt electric powered all electric jet engines by 2026.    US still stuck with coal!

...of cooperation between companies based in three different countries, kinda similar to Globalization.

I am missing the significance of the reference to US reliance on coal in the post.  What I see is an effort to develop the technology to propel small jets with electric engines, not real clear of the energy source for the on board generators, nor the source for charging the batteries on the ground.  I do see the word hybrid several places which seems to indicate that some petroleum fuels is used, whether for take-off, charging the batteries, or what I do not know.  But as far as I do know, jets are not fueled by coal today.

The rest of the world is moving on with innovation and exploration into alternatives to the continued use of fossil fuels---because other 1st world economies recognize the need to evolve.

Innovation in the US under the T administration? Coal.

Yep….our president would like to have us believe that coal is the way forward; a truly bizarre position given the US has ALREADY moved beyond coal and which, of course, demands a narrative that pushes a denial of climate change science (or, well, science, in general---regardless of the focus), in order to appease the core Trump voter base.

Trump promised core voters that they were gonna get their coal jobs back. He proselytized that he was the ONLY guy who cared about them. Even though no matter how many organizations have previously offered to provide free training to prepare people to move from coal mining into a more viable kind of employment, these folks continue to hold out for the new coal plant coming to town. And, halleluiah, here comes T.

These are the same folks that, still, apparently, have not clued into the fact that T was lying his ass off when he promised he would bring back their coal mining jobs, or (even more alarming), T is so clueless that he actually believed it when he said it? (Who can really tell with this lunatic?)

When it comes to forward thinking, creativity, and innovation, the US is being left in the dust under this administration. MAGA, my ass. Thankfully some American companies are moving forward on their own, in partnership with other countries, despite the idiot currently in charge of our country.

It was economics.  Natural gas is cheaper, cleaner and easier to use.  That’s what killed the coal industry
