Whether that’s a hung jury or a verdict remains to be seen.

Sad day in American jurisprudence.

And screw you for jumping in on this late in the trail and not keeping the class up to date....

"Her emotional testimony on the stand was very impactful and I don’t see a jury unanimously voting to convict her for a simple accident."......Fooled you

BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What a fucking retard. And he thinks it's a sad day for the justice system.
Nope. Just another sad day for ChicKenShit.

NaziNick doesn’t know much about the justice system if he thinks it’s never wrong.

The legal beagles almost unanimously said that if a conviction would occur, it would only happen on the second degree charge. The first degree guilty verdict was quite shocking. This is one of those very, very rare cases where I feel badly for the victim while simultaneously feeling bad for the defendant. But let's not forget that a young man with a child had his life snuffed out prematurely.
The legal expert on CNN, Elliot Williams, predicted after the verdict was rendered that she would most likely get around 7 years for the first degree conviction alone but he couldn't say for sure, obviously. I don't know what the penalty should be but that seems a bit harsh at first glance. I think rapists typically get 4-5 years but someone here can correct me if that is not accurate. Rape is a deliberate, intentional, premeditated, evil act and that is not the case here.
The jury has spoken and I will accept it. I didn't pay attention to the case like they did. I am not sure justice was served here but I am not sure it wasn't either. I have to admit I do feel queasy about this verdict but I also think we have the best system in the world and not every case will result in the way I feel it should. It is what it is.

We know our system is imperfect, but I do believe that a vast majority of the time, the jurors get it right.

I had a friend get a conviction overturned with the help of the Innocence Project. Sat in a courtroom where his first appeal was denied in the face of incontrovertible evidence that he was innocent and that was a wake up call for me. In that case, the prosecutor actively worked to keep that evidence from my friend’s jury.

"I am not sure justice was served here but I am not sure it wasn't either."  Way to take a decisive stand, you gutless fucking pussy.  Why bother to post if you can't make up your mind and take a stand?

Robby thinks that if Pow Pow Potter gets 7 years, it will be too harsh a sentence despite the fact that she could be sentenced to 15 years and with time off for good behavior, she could get out in 3 1/2 years.  Robby also makes the sentence seem harsh by comparing it to rape for which he GUESSES the typical sentence is 4-5 years.  Robby deliberately underestimates the penalty for rape, even though he doesn't have a clue what the sentence is in order to make Potter's sentence seem harsh.

Well Robby, you fucking moron, first degree rape in Minnesota has a maximun sentence of THIRTY years and a mandatory MINIMUM of at least 12 years.  Even the penalty for fourth degree rape in Minnesota is up to 10 years in prison.  Well Robby, do you still think 7 years is still too harsh for Pow Pow Potter?

7 years, given the crime and circumstances, would be harsh.

I had someone recently fill me in on the back story with ALL that. Tsk, tsk tsk! Seems like someone cant play well with others but then goes the extra step and rats out people when he loses an argument or if he gets his feelings hurt.
This is very typical board bully however; tough guy for the world to see but a frightened, scared kitten behind the scenes who has to run to the mom cat for protection. lol
I have to deal with a few faux tough guys on a few other sites I post on as I know his type very well so all this is nothing new to me. It's amusing as all get out, but nothing new. :)

Where are those crocodile tears now, bitch?!
