Washington State Republican Gone Too Far!
I usually ADAMANTLY stay out of the political scene, keep my opinions to myself, but having several family members who work for the U.S. Post Office, when I saw this article, I was STEAMED!
I realize that both sides will say or do whatever they have to win, but what this bloke did was COMPLETELY out of line!
The National Association of Letter Carriers every election sends out questionnaires for the candidates to reply to. The Republican candidates repeatedly disregard these inquiries, while the Democratic candidates usually reply in a timely manner.
Yes, the NALC has endorced Democratic candidate recently, but they have also endorsed Republican candidates for Governor and Senate Seats in the past as well.
I think the notions implied in this commercial for Washington State Governor Dino Rossi goes above and beyond disgusting! To imply that Letter Carriers are predators (don't get me wrong; there are plenty who are not saints), is out of line.
The Letter Carriers are known throughout the country for their many heroic and humanitarian deeds—often coming to the aid of children, their support of charitable organizations (muscular dystrophy, for one), and conducting the nation’s largest food drive to feed needy families.
Please spread the word.

Gee, thought that was what I was doing; raising the consciousness of some potential voters in a specific region as to the unethical practices of a politician by implying that their friendly neighborhood mailman was actually a pedophile just waiting for an opportunity to take advantage of their children.
But it figures that the members of a union would be attacked; after all, govt has been trying to do away with unions for ages....

I saw your first post and let it slide in the interest of tolerance. Then you posted it over and over changing the words slighlty and using caps. So I figured you wanted to argue.

This is why I stay away from political & religious posts & threads; too heated.
Having grown up in a blue collar & military family, I appreciate "the working man", and in this case, letter carriers.
The purpose of this thread was to perhaps get people to read the link, and think about some of the underhanded tactics that have gone on during this election campaign; not to spark an argument.
I hope that we can just get out, vote, and move on with the future.
