I will confess, even as an oilman I am a bit disturbed about the Pruitt pick.

I am a firm believer in creating an environment friendly to business and getting rid of a lot of needless regulations and unnecessary red tape, but I do NOT want to go back to the days of the robber barons, some regulation is most definitely necessary. I don't trust Big Business anymore than I trust Big Government. I have been a pretty big cheerleader of many things Trump has either done or promised to do so far, but this pick I find troublesome, well this one and Sarah Palin as head of anything of course.

That being said GaGambler, I am less concerned about the appointments, in general, because I am much more concerned about the policy that Mr Trump and the Conservative congress will unveil. I am hoping that Mr. Trump does not allow his people to dictate policy to him. That is my hope, and that is all it is now, as that is all we have to rely on.

but nothing in his business life, or in the campaign that he just won against all odds indicates that he is going to be anything but "the man in charge" I find all these predictions that Mike Pence is going to be running things behind the scenes ridiculous. These predictions are largely coming from the same people who predicted Trump was going to be out of the race a year ago and every time he proved them wrong, they doubled down on another stupid prediction.  

Trump was not cowed by the "experts" when running his campaign, I doubt seriously he is going to let his cabinet members run roughshod over him once he takes office.  Trump has a huge ego that comes from "being the boss" Do you really see that changing now that he is arguably the most powerful man on earth?

I worked for him for two years.  His plan is to write history folks.
