I was never fond of him as the owner of the Texas Rangers, but I always thought he was essentially a good man in over his head. And while I might not have agreed with his neo-conservative politics, he was a hard drinking Texan who almost served his country well and was loved by some Americans.

I'm the primary caregiver for my republican uncle, who truly believed that there were WMDs in Iraq. His job has been out-sourced and he's been replaced by a worker in Mexico who's making 32 cents an hour; he'll spend the rest of his life wandering the streets collecting bottles for the deposit money. It's a shame watching someone turn into a shell of what they once were, so it's probably for the best for Mrs. Bush and the rest of the family that G.W. is finally out of his misery.

May he rest in peace. Somewhere out there he's searching for Osama.
