totally missed.  And yes teacher, I did go to college but did not give a fuck about literature.  So you are able to correctly communicate pure fucking bullshit, how very nice.  Where the fuck did that get you besides standing in line at the soup kitchen with Daffy. Certain people are unable to learn certain skills. Do you get off degrading them and take pleasure from it.  I think you do little man.  If you ever had a checkbook I am willing to bet it was never balanced.

You constantly go out of your way to point out a spelling error a typo and other innocuous, minor mistakes, in an obvious attempt to demean others and pretend to be intellectually superior.

Yet when you make a typo misspelling or other mistake you do not have the courage to be man enough to admit it. You usually just cowardly pull the post then deny it, or make some lame excuse or blame some one or something else.

...When Trump drained the swamp, he apparently forgot a few of the swamp things.  The new head of the DOT is Elaine Chao.  Not only was she Deputy Secretary of Transportation under Poppy Bush from 1989-1991, but she was Dubya's Secretary of Labor for eight years.  Last, but not least, she's Mitch McConnell's wife.  She's been up to her neck in the swamp for thirty years.  Not surprising that you'd gloss over her resume and merely describe her as a "woman with slanted eyes."  Is that your "hiccup" or another one of Trump's?

Refresh my memory, but I think I said that earlier here.

That said, compared to the disastrous Presidencies of Nixon & GWB, those 2 look like pikers compared to Trump. Hell, same goes for James Buchanan, widely considered the worst POTUS who failed to prevent the Civil War.

Was wondering , Trump wants to jail/revoke citizenship of Flag burners & trample on the 1st amendment for  members of the 4th estate, who criticize him; does GaG agree with this ? Hope not.

With this election, we should all get out of the prediction business, so not predicting impeachment/resignation scenarios, but can predict this with certainty: 8 months from now in the U.S., it will be VERY bad.

For those of you are well versed in history, will boil down to this : 2017 = 1968.

The night of the election, Mr. Know Nothing, Paul Krugman, said the economy was melting down and may never recover. He had to do a mea culpa a few days later as the stock market was in the midst of an incredible rally.

Trump predictions really aren't worth a shit. Give him time Cheesy then we can judge but libs going off the deep end on a daily basis, only having to retract their words a few days later makes them look petulant and uninformed.

I have my eyes wide open with Trump, he isn't going to "fix everything" he has no magic wand to do so, but he can do a lot to fix this lagging economy, and that is one thing I think he will accomplish.

If he couples his tax reform to his infrastructure projects he stands to get both of them. The GOP is going to love his tax plan, while the Dems are going to begrudgingly love his Trillion dollar infrastructure plan. Everybody gets "something" this way and the economy will boom because of it. Yes, it will increase the deficit, but would you rather have a $20 trillion dollar national debt and a floundering economy or a $25 trillion dollar debt and a booming economy?

Even though I disliked Reagan, he was a successful 2 term Ca gov ( '66-74 ) who, I, will begrudgingly admit, had a rough idea about how to govern as POTUS, a complex task, something the divisive, intellectually bankrupt, crazed & bigoted Trump hasn't a clue about how to carry off at this time.

It was others who called for a "Romney Landslide" I only went so far as to say that Romney "should" have won, but that he ran a horrible campaign. and then around election day I said that Romney should not be as big an underdog as he was. Never did I "call it" for Romney

and you really need to read things a bit closer, I didn't say the "Debt" not "budget" would rise to "only" 25T. I don't know how high the debt will rise, but even if it rises to 30T and the economy is booming, we have a better chance of someday getting in under control than the way we are going under Obama and the direction we would have headed under Clinton.

BTW, you really need to learn how to use quotes properly too. For a pedantic putz, you use them almost as poorly as LTM. Or did I say somewhere that Trump would create an "economic utopia" that I don't remember?

As for Trump's qualifications, he is at least as qualified as Obama who never ran ANYTHING before becoming POTUS

I am not too terribly worried about Trump unfairly enriching himself at the expense of the American people, not with as many eyes trained on him 24/7. Trump is going to be under a microscope and he is certainly smart enough not to try to stick his hand in the cookie jar while in office, not with every rabid lefty and Never Trump righty just dying to catch him dirty.

Yes, he is going to have some issues considering the nature of his major assets, but I am sure it's not a problem that can't be overcome.

With all his "baggage", being the most unpopular POTUS ever ? Gimme a fucking break. & the debt only rising to 30T ? Dream on. Now some may see the "dystopian" scenario, which I threw out as a "devil's advocate" to all the optimistic Trump nonsense here, as ridiculous. Fair enough. Maybe, GaG,  one of us is wrong. Or perhaps both, & the future lies somewhere in the middle. We'll see. I will say impeachment/resignation not out of the question. Do I want to bet on a particular date for this ? No fucking way.

They think its perfectly fine for a Governor, say, while campaigning, to tell a union crowd, "I will fight for you! I will get you higher wages and better benefits."  

This is done all the time. But the Governor of a state is forced to wear two hats if elected. One, he has made a vow to the union workers and two, to the people of the state he is representing.

So when the state sits down in a room with the union to negotiate a contract, who is in the room representing the taxpayer, as there taxes go to fund teachers salaries and bennies?

Well, it SHOULD be the Governor and his team but he already sold out to the union!

Trump is all of those things but would you wish for a President Pence to take his place? While Mr. Pence seems a much more affable and competent character, his fervent, over the top, religious zealotry would seem to place non-believers rights in harms way. I don't feel that way with Trump as I think he is more of a secularist with his pandering to the religious right an obvious ploy for votes. Terrible choice either way, but I may opt more for a Trump presidency and defeat him in 4 years as opposed to Pence and going back to the 1950's.
