CNN can lead you astray from the actual issue.

Kind of a long time to case a place, don't you think? There are facts and there's opinion. Facts don't have a political purpose. They just "are."
And if you think I believe these new facts take the onus of him cloaking himself in radical Islam, you're also wrong. They simply complicate an already tragic story.
Are you absolutely sure your CNN facts are factual? For a minute, based on your OP, I was beginning to get the feeling you were attempting to put the blame on a closet Homosexual for killing dozens of people in cold blood, instead of blaming the # 1 truth, the religion he grew up with and surrounded by, hates Homosexuals with a passion, more so than 99.99999999 % of modern day extremist Christians.
When your Dad is a Taliban supporter it's likely you'll be a lunatic, by association alone.
I'm glad you backed up from your self hating gay analysis in your OP as the root cause of the Orlando tragedy.
I could have missed the memo, I've never heard of any, atheist/ agnostic or Catholic priest,
closet homosexuals, going on killing sprees in the LGBT community because they felt self hatred.
Perhaps our # 1 troll has evidence of that in his 500 AD. book of imaginary facts.
I've read of many radical Islamic terrorists killing innocent people of the LGBT community
Whether they had sex before they killed them is a moot point.
In your defense you were likely influenced by CNN.
I'm certainly not claiming with authority Mateen was not living a secret homosexual life. When I first heard of the tragedy in Orlando, early morning, watching International news, before he was killed by LE, when the original death count was unknown, I jumped to conclusions, told my GF, the killer might be trapped in the closet, and feels shame for his own affection
toward men. She said "NO way, Gays aren't violent like that."
I agreed she was more than likely correct.
I'll admit I agree with her when there's no valid reason for disagreeing with her logic.
The channel I was watching was broadcasting live the patrons messages to the outside, while hiding in various places, dressing rooms, rest rooms etc. pleading for help in vain.
One of the saddest things I've ever seen live.
Everyone could help civilization and peaceful coexistence by remembering, it does no good for society to joke/ laugh at,or mock the LGBT community, even behind closed doors.
If no one mocks the LGBT community and only shows them love, there will be no reason for them to hide from society or ever feel shame for their sexual preference........
As sad as I am about this whole ordeal, I can't even imagine how the LGBT community is feeling. Quite often, journalists who know so little act like they have knowledge of all the facts.
A few facts come to mind that possibly could have prevented the needless deaths in Orlando
1. If Mateen's ex wife had filed a police report on his domestic violence it's possible he wouldn't have had a security job and the dollars to buy guns and ammo. .
2. The FBI had Mateen in their sights for violent speak and supporting jihad. They interviewed him twice in 2013 after he made pro radical Jihadism statements in the presence of co workers.
In 2014 he was interviewed by agents a third time because of his association with Moner Mohammad Abu Salha, an American anchor baby from Florida who traveled to Syria for ISIS jihad training, came back home to Florida and recruited jihad prospects.
Salha went back to Syria and died as a suicide bomber.
According to the FBI, Mateen, a known ISIS supporter was not under surveillance at the time of the shooting.
I'm wondering, who's in charge of investigating the credentials of Syrian refugees
Multiple reports say Mateen was known at Pulse, having visited there several times. He also may have used gay dating sites and chat rooms. Not exactly the model of an Islamic terrorist.
..a self-hating gay man who spent all his life portraying the opposite. A fraud in need of a Freud.
