Do people outside of NY really like Giuliani?

i am somewhat shocked by how well he's doing in a national campaign.  he is a pretty polarizing figure here in ny.  people either love him or hate him.  i think most people in ny dislike him more and more as years pass, but people outside ny seem to like him more and more as years pass.

i posted an article i just read about him below from rolling stone.  maybe they should stick to writing about music.

but I do not believe he will have the support of the national party by the time the primaries roll around.

He's a celebrity, basking in celebrity glow, and working the celebrity card. He's Mister Nine-Eleven and they are going to make sure you know it and see it from their spin.

But at the convention he will be a player with delegates to barter, which will give him a voice.

Fellow clucks in our benighted city voted Eddie Koch into office 3 consectutive times, followed bt the feckless and incompetent Davis Dinkins [and I was one of the clucks who voted for DD].  There appears to be little middle ground for those crazed enough to aspire to the mayoralty of NYC.

RG's popularity might just be the case that he's the least of the GOP evils currently running and potentially the most electable.  Time will tell, and I don't think Fred Thompson is the guy to derail him within the GOP.

A relentless stream of news footage showing the Twin Towers burning and crumbling to the ground.

"I pounded her doggie style for 20 minutes until i lost all memory of Judi, Donna, and Regina, and brought her to several shuddering Os as she screamed out '9-11!!, 9-11!!'"  I was in heaven; sure beats the hell out of picking on the squeegee men and ejecting Arafat from Lincoln Center."

interesting  role reversal, and nice work if you can get it.

I don't think the bible belt elects a socially liberal I-talian from New York. That said,I thought that he did a good job as Mayor of NYC. He got the city cleaned up, crime was reduced and he ignored Al Sharpton.

Call me crazy but I think McCain still has time to rebound. Fred Thompson is a joke. They are trying to go for a Reagan reincarnate and Freddy is just not in the same league.

Clinton, Bush, Carter all affected to be good old boys, though of course no good old boy would last 10 minutes in DC.   Carter lasted 30 minutes only because he was pickled in pussy juice.  Nixon was the last guy who let on that he had any brains, and see where that got us.

I don't think either McCain nor Hillary can appeal to the broad base, or can be flexible to roll with the electoral punches.  I think both are just too far out of the mainstream, and same with Giulani.  Shit, Jeb Bush has as good a chance as them.
