Climate change is pseudoscience.

comforted by your extensive scientific research even though their countries and other lands are disappearing because of the rising oceans.

So maybe China isn't building islands in the South China Sea to control those waters but out of the kindness of their hearts to provide a place to live for all the people who are losing their land due to rising oceans.

So anyone who starts every sentence with "so" isn't someone I consider intelligent enough to take seriously on the topic of climate change...or anything else for that matter. Pseudoscience? You're a pseudointellectual.

First of all, starting a sentence with the word "so" is nothing more than the latest, meaningless linguistic fad. The word "so" means ZERO and is just throat-clearing.
Just as annoying is using the word as part of a reply to a nice gesture, as in "Thank you so much." You really can't just say, "Thanks a lot" or "Thank you very much?" No. Because "Thank you so much" is just SO much more sincere.
Also, dismissing climate change like this was is simply ignorant. If you want to have a real debate, let's talk about whether and to what extent climate change is part of a natural phenomenon or whether it's partly or mostly a man-made phenomenon. So, no, climate change is NOT "bullshit." Tell that to all the Pacific Islanders whose houses are under water.
Also, Willy, you have missed the boat by focusing only on CO2. You forgot about Methane, another HUGE contributor and have oversimplified a complex issue.
I would now put up a gif of Greta Thunberg hectoring Willy with a "How DARE you!" but TER would not like it since she's under age.

I remember you arguing this quite vociferously the other way back in the day. You were adamant about the greenhouse effect and how that was "settled science" I do believe. Even mocked me, and others for thinking otherwise.

What started the skepticism? Was there something specific?

How about socialism? I remember at one point you were left of both Chavez and Castro, Now that both of them are rotting in hell and the economies of their countries in shambles, have you seen the light about socialism as well?

They cherry pick the info. They give you all the "facts" pointing to a calamity while ignoring ones that show otherwise.

Like California being in drought. They promised us it would ONLY get worse. Then what happened last year? California came out of drought. lol

Then you have blowhards like Gore ginning shit up and exaggerating so much so that even the far left NY Times had to call his ass out years ago. LOL

The facts dont matter. It's their religion and Gore is the priest and know nothing AOC the priestess. LOL

First of all, Venezuela isn't real socialism. It's a military dictatorship and kleptocracy that failed because it gave away the store in a failed attempt to buy the support of the working classes. Also, China doesn't have a true free market economy. Far from it. And it also has most of the trappings of socialism while giving free rein to entrepreneurship. I know less about India but would guess it still has many socialistic attributes.
If you want to look at real socialism, you'll find many versions of it in Europe.  And depending on who you want to listen to you'll find more than. few people describing the US -- with Social Security, Medicare and the ACA -- as a socialist country already.
And while you're at it, please enlighten us on what you think this country should do about "making sure that average working stiffs can lead a standard middle class life?" It would be no shock to hear you push for programs that many would call socialism.

We don't use THAT word here. You know, the "R" word.

Just shorten it up a bit and then you're fine using it with Laffy. LOL

I'm not inclined to doubt that CO2 is a greenhouse gas.  However I am inclined to doubt what size role it plays.  There are other greenhouse gases ... such as water vapor ... that far exceed the warming effect of CO2.

We know from the geological record that CO2 has been very high in the past -- and it occurred along with a lush earth and plenty of rainfall.  The ONLY time life on earth was seriously at risk was due to ICE AGES, super volcanic eruptions, and strikes by giant meteorites kicking up worldwide dust clouds that hung around for a couple years.

If you want to see mass starvation due to climate induced agricultural collapse, it will be from extended winters, not global warming.

Why -- because warming earth accelerates ocean evaporation causing more rainfall.  And -- atmospheric CO2 is the source of ALL vegetation.   That giant tree in your yard is not really from the ground (except a few trace minerals) it is from captured CO2 and water.   We all know the formula for carbohydrates ...   (CH2O)x    Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen ... CO2 and rain, basically.  All life depends on CO2 in the atmosphere.  The more CO2 the more life.  That's why there was such lush vegetation and rainfall when the dinosaurs roamed during those high CO2 days.

The ice ages will fucking kill us.  We are in an interglacial period ... meaning we will eventually get hit with another ice age.  Everything we can do to prevent it should be done ... including pumping CO2 into the atmosphere, not trying to scrub it out.

You're right that "so" is like a throat-clearing or a crutch to help someone get started on what they're going to say. At least it's better than saying "uuuhhhh" before starting to speak.
But that's when you're talking. There's absolutely no reason to start every sentence with "so" when you're WRITING. You have time to think of what you want to write. It's just dumb of willy wonky to do that. Maybe he needs a new handle. How about this one:

(Thanks to CDL. I read a post somewhere where he advised a poster to remove the 's' from the https)

Where's your link, genius? I'll wait while you pull it out of your ass.

Then you have blowhards like Gore ginning shit up and exaggerating so much so that even the far left NY Times had to call his ass out years ago.
The NYT article from 2007 that you linked says, "... Typically, the concern is not over the existence of climate change, or the idea that the human production of heat-trapping gases is partly or largely to blame for the globe’s recent warming. ..."
