I traveled to Pittsburgh occasionally for years for work. The Airport is way out of town and is pretty much at the end of the road. Not as developed as a lot of other city airports. Some nice hotels, very safe and lots of parking and Robinson has pretty good shopping. But it is far removed from most of the population.
Downtown and the North Shore have many good hotel choices. I always feel very safe, even late at night. Parking can be a little pricey (for Pittsburgh) but there is plenty of options close to any downtown hotel.
It’s a good solid town and I always enjoyed going there. Excellent zoo too.
I always found it to be underserved by quality ladies so you may do well.
