I can't believe how many idiots ask "is it full service" over the phone.

How many people try to low ball you after your rates are given.  This isn't Tijuana!!!

Then some jerk (who knows the rate) shows up and offers me a 20 ONLY to give some oral....and QUICKLY told to LEAVE!!!

What the hell is with all the jerks in Phoenix??  This used to be such a nice place...now out of the 30(ave) calls I get a day...at least 25 are jerks.  

There are always some nice guys out there (THANK GOD FOR YOU GENTLEMEN)...but it's really hard to stay nice, sweet, and sensual when you are bombarded with jerks.

Sorry for the rant...but wondering if other girls are experiencing the same thing.  

I like to come down for my regulars...but it's beginning to not be worth the trip if guys keep acting like this.  

I worry if my phone is even working since I can go weeks without a single phone call.

From every 10 emails/calls that I get only 1 is a gentleman, but they not always book an appt. They email me to tell me how pretty I am or to tell me that they like my pictures very much, but that's it, only 1 in 30 maybe book an appt. It happens to me all the time. Idiots calling, those who saw me over 5 years ago and think they are my friend so they can make a social call. Eros is the worst for the idiot calls, they call from all over the country asking dumb questions.

Traveling so you are the new girl seems to work well for me.

Taking real nice care of my regulars keeps me in the black financially.

...I seem to be having the opposite problem. One lady I've been dying to see seems to always be busy while another has yet to respond to my last email to set up a date and time after we discussed screening and her schedule with some enthusiastic earlier replies.

Hope it doesn't sound like I'm tooting my own horn but I always try to be a gentleman in contacting a lady and even more so in the encounter (I usually bring a gift and always have a tip ready for afterwards if indicated). Maybe I'm the opposite extreme and because I'm too polite I don't get taken seriously lol! Thank heavens I already know some ladies or else I'd be dateless all the time if my luck's this bad with new contacts

I do hear stories like this from the woman I have had the pleasure spending time with, sounds like it just goes with the job. I wish it didn’t but what can I say.

If I had to take a safe guess, I would gander about 400+ clients left the business in 2008.  

Yes, the economy is a bit to blame, but so also are the numerous amount of new girls into the business (thanks Secret Confessions of a Call Girl) so NOW, we have bargain basement dreams - as far as price goes - with no significant talent to back that up.

Take into account the economy and the fact that many Phoenix men WERE ALREADY into deep discounts, well.....  those of us who are more than 100 p/h are a bit screwed.

I have found, over the last year, that the amount of men who schedule an appointment then CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE has increased by nearly 80 %.  Therefore, I have joined the ranks of the touring providers once again.  I am no longer available for those last minute appts. due to my outside interests (meaning ART) that I have been quite successful at over the last two years.

Not sure what to say, but thought I would contribute, it's a shame what has happened to Phoenix.  This city was so much fun to work in just a few years ago...

When I first started- I only provided massage + I was swamped with request, And this was just after DD. After I moved into More options provided, I was very very busy to the point I was making my apts days away.

But i think the market has gotten so cheap, Its hard for a good girl to make real money here. And gentlemen-  Although they dont want to admit it-Would rather secretly pay 100 for a QQ where they dont check references, Nor get checked themselves "Cough Cough"
Then make a actual Apt with a quality provider.

I have configured for every 20 low budget girls out there there is one quality provider. So think about your odds of a actual apt.

I am thankful for the clients I do have, Most of them dont live here, and I am there ATF when they are here.

P.s. Shame on the providers out there that are bottom feeding hungry shameless and ruthless, Whom dont get back when asking to a reference, and steal clients. SHAME SHAME- HAD to get that out there. And thank you to those who do !

The reason it was soo good a few years ago is very, VERY simple - credit was cheap and wideley available. The average income in phoenix is not high to begin with...but with a booming real estate market, cheap credit, home equity loans - there were 30k millionaires ALL over town...what's 300-400 to them (at the time) when they're just charging it on a equity line with a 100k available.

Those times are over. They are not coming back...at LEAST for another 10 years. So adjust your business model or get out of the business. Sorry to be harsh, I'm just being honest.

I'm not saying AT ALL that you ladies aren't worth 300-400hr...what I am saying is you aren't gonna get it as easily as you used to anytime soon. The lower prices are here to stay (but it goes both ways, the men out there are making less too - descritionary spending is limited)

Does that give permission for guys to act like jerks - absolutely not...that is disgusting behaviour and I'm sorry anyone of you had to experience that.

All I'm saying is to adjust your business model. All entrepreneur and business owners go through this, I've gone through this...sometimes times are good, sometimes you have to make changes to keep them that way. Personally, I have to work 2x as hard to make ends meet as I used to...it's just the way it is and it's worldwide.

Just get creative. Offer 30 minute pricing. I know girls, good quality providers, who are charging 100-150 for hh and doing well. That's STILL 200-300 a day...not a bad living.

Just my 2 cents.

I wasn’t going to get involved with this post but had to add my .02 cents.

The big bust of 2008 ran a lot of hobbyist out of town and the hobby and most of them haven’t returned. Plus a lot of guys that came here from out of town just to play won’t set foot in AZ. anymore.

Ladies we’re all in the same boat here the AZ economy is one of worst in the country and many of us guys that are in business for ourselves  work hard just to fine 1 out 20 people with the $$$ to make a purchase. I get lots of clients that want to buy but when it comes down making a deposit to close a deal they disappear. WTF why waste my time sending info, pictures and a quote on a product if you can’t afford to buy it.

Take a look at BP there’s 10 or 20 new post there every day from new girls advertising with QQ ½ hour or one hour specials. Why do you think that’s happening is it because they lost their job and trying to find a way to feed their kids or pay their rent? You got to feel sorry for them they’re just trying to survive like all of us.

Ladies most of us guys that have been around a while aren’t calling you and asking for discounts or free services but call the girl we wanted to meet for a while when we have to funds to made the date.

And that’s the end of my RANT but thanks to ObamaCare it killed my business.

I have to agree that BOTH waves of the bust had a huge impact on the hobby here.  And then if that wasn't enough, the economy taking a dive didn't help either.

Our economic system is about supply and demand. If you are not getting calls, then demand is down. This means your service is of less value and price needs to be reduced.

I do not own a business. I'm employed (thankfullt I have a job). I have a 30% higher work load that 2 years ago; with no pay raise in that time, reduced health benefits yet higher contibutions. I pay more for EVERYTHING I need to live on.
THIS IS ALL THE SAME AS EVERYONE I KNOW, who is lucky enough to have a job.

Now I'll say another "treasonous" truth. In order to hobby, I not only have to do it less frequently, I can only afford BP rates. SO... here it comes... I now book off BP.

Would I rather book with some providers posting here with higher rates. Yes. Would I pay their regular rate if I could? Yes.
But I can't. So I don't. I book bargain rates.

Although I won't mention names, you must all surely be aware of the local reputable, reviewed providers that run 160 per hour specials. Some even lower.

I am a clean, respectful gentleman, and so far, every provider I have booked with, has invited me back. When I ask for them to provide a reference, I usually get an invitation to book again then too.

SO-What's with guys in Phoenix? To understand the present you have to know the past...

Hobbying sucked in Phoenix, hard, for a long time-cash n dash, bait n switch, what have you. The only thing worse than a scammy indy was an agency.

Then 10-12 years ago, it got better-guys started talking, and sharing their experiences. The Internet ushered in the age of the Independent Escort and it got better still-along with one feisty old lady (RIP) who showed you COULD run a legit agency. The Hobbyist met The Provider and The Agency threw the party-it was The Golden Age for a few years.

And then it got sloppy, complacent and frankly too impressed by it's own success and imagined legitimacy-so it got slapped down. Hard.

Welcome to The Aftermath. Add in a hardy recession and it's the perfect storm-and most  providers haven't even been around long enough to know there even WAS a time before pooning was easy and any girl with a computer and a arbitrary price point could get in the game. And if they were, they forgot.

It sucks, for provider and hobbyist alike. We're all back to panning for our own gold nuggets in the streams that are left. You're shaking the jerks and chislers out of yours.

Some are succeeding but working harder and traveling farther for it. Most are struggling, more are simply gone.

Someday, it might get better-but I'd argue it'll never get back to what it was, so we adapt and survive.

By hey, I saw this industry change for the better once (and did my small bit, some would say) who knows?

Years ago it was good here but for all the reasons mentioned it went to hell. Add to that the college gils on backpage providing horrible dates for half the donation of most and some fools falling for it, and we ladies who are established, reputable and decent are barely able to survive.

Everyone wants to haggle over rates and time and so on and I too, have simply had enough and my quest for those GENTLEMEN like I used to see becomes nationwide.

By the way, if the lady you are calling is too booked to see you that does not mean she is REALLY booked. She has a life and she may be making up her reasons in order to not have to tell you that she either does not want to see you or she is in some other sort of situation where she can't.

It saddens me greatly to see it like this but IT IS and there isn't much we can do about it.

My fight of course for a decade+ has been on the legal issues with the U.S. being about the only country in the world where in private consenting adult sexwork is not legal.  Which is why I have enjoyed Canada so much in the past with the freedoms we lack as does most of the world.

Lawrence vs Texas was a landmark case for privacy rights and laws can not be based on morality.  But now we lose some of those Justices that were for individual freedoms and the case has never been used at trial in a sexwork case (almost in one famous Madam case and a wonderful brief filed with the Court using it but than new lawyer dropped it).

The Great Recession I believe the most serious current issue.  If guys and gals would just stop talking and writing about sex for money which is illegal. Only hourly rate for companionship not sex is legal due to the lack of sexual freedom in the U.S.

This has been a good discussion on something I have thought for the last couple of years. What I see is nothing but out right gouging on the part of some ladies here and other sites. Then I figured out that they are not at all interested in your Az drivers license guys! They want the out of town business traveler with the expense account staying in the Scottsdale resort at 500 a pop!.

However those days are now over! Obama put the clamps on business travel along with the freeze on CEO bonuses. New tax laws a few years ago all but ended the expense accounts so many travelers enjoyed. My question is when are some of these ladies going to get off there high horse and come back to the rest of us? There were two recent additions to Eros that looked very promising but one look at there donations ended any interest that bordered on the ridiculous and obscene.

Anyone can charge what they want. However if some flexibility isn't shown the hobby and there business will perish and rightly so!

You know, I am learning more and more every day with touring.

In AZ, I ran specials and lowered my rates and it was no busier than when I upped them again. There was not a lot of difference. I grandfathered regulars (and I can honestly say that now I have maybe 2 "regulars" because if you have not visited in 6 months YOU ARE NOT A "regular").

In fact, I had a few visits at the higher rate that said they would not see anyone who's rates were under a certain amount.

So what I have concluded is that no matter WHAT the rate, no matter what the special, I get the same clientèle for the most part and things ARE tough all over, but where I am now they have not batted an eyelash at my rate and I am not running a special so I think it is a matter of just planning and scheming to be with that one lady you really want to be with...

ALSO HERE they are not fussing over screening like they seem to do there in AZ... Some (okay MANY)  of you gentlemen are wonderfully understanding and compliant but the newbies I was getting inquiries from were jerks about it so it was a "NO I am sorry, I cannot meet you then".

I have watched my local list dwindle over the last year.  I have offered specials and incentives to my local clients ONLY in order to keep them happy.

If lowering a donation past $ 300 p/h is an issue than I am more than happy to lose clients.  I have not had the travesty that many other providers have had, but to say that because we charge more we don't want local business.
