I had no idea you were such an astronomy fanatic. I have had a few Desert delights... Variable stars...reminds me of a science project I once did... might be kinda fun to wear that school girl uniform again.. LOL

Combining Astronomy and Fun?

I was looking over my bookcases today and realized I have a typical nerd’s library: science (physics and astronomy), math (everything from beginning algebra to ordinary differential equations to complex analysis), military history and science fiction. How nerdy is that?

So, I pulled out one of my astronomy books about stellar evolution and started reading about variable stars, specifically pulsating giant stars. I pulled out my star charts and noticed that Cetus is up, which is the constellation that Mira is in, a prototypical pulsating giant star! Of course, all this stuff with the word pulsating in it lead me to post here.

Just curious, but how many providers have ever gone on a “date” to a dark sky site in Arizona? How many would be willing to? Might be a great way to combine stargazing and skin to skin fun!

I'm betting a whole bunch would be into this with appropriate references. Based on the reactions from past GFs and my very limited exposure to providers, they will be only too eager to enjoy a your large, auto-guiding, 12-inch......

Meade LX200 telescope.

Saturn is just moving into an excellent time slot for enjoying these two pastimes. Classy women REALLY dig planetary observing, Saturn in particular. Champagne flutes, a good red flashlight (how strangely appropriate!) and a few blankets would make for a most memorable date.

inadequate. My large, auto-guiding Meade LX200 telescope is only 10-inches. Sigh.

I have the red flashlight and the blankets and a site picked out and I have the woman picked out, just have to ask.

Great Idea!!!

Since I am an Astrologer and Provider...I love the IDEA!!!

Mercury is going retrograde on Tue. the 30th until the 19th of Dec. Which means: it is not a good time to start any new important projects. It is a good time to finish projects or chores. Mechanical failures abound and very poor communication.

Luckily everything will be better by the holidays.

The skies are so clear and the stars are so visible here in Tucson, it's really spectacular. The moon is so big and close here it feels like you can reach out and touch it. I love sitting in a hot tub and watching the moon pass over, it's so romantic. We also have some great observatories here too. You should cum check it out if you ever get the opportunity.

Normally a blanket would work, butt here in the desert, there are to many poisonious and prickery possibilities to romp or roll around in. So the hot tub idea has more pleasent possibilities.
