Why can't we just all get along?

My feelings on that subject is clear. Because these boards need honesty. If every provider was a 10 in looks and 10 in performance and charges $20 there would be no need for boards like this. (Yes I know this is unrealistic...just an example)

These boards were setup because clients were not getting their money worth. All the other BS that came afterwards is window dressing.

I have stopped posting good reviews because I feel it is breaking trust to the good provider. She may do more with me than others, so why put her in that position. Same as I feel that if any provider were to give a good reference on me, that is VERY wrong. I pay certain providers more for the same thing than others. I promise if I get ripped off, I still will post that.

Basically you have that....the vast majority of posters are pretty straight forward (both "hobbiest's & providers). We have differing views and opinions, but thats what makes the world go round. As Danny and others have pointed out so very well, you can hose a few folks some of the time....but eventually it'll catch up to you.

Personally I think that both the review section & BBS serve a good purpose. However, I do think that a couple basic points get lost in the shuffle.

1st) Over the long haul the market is set by the demand curve...the consumer ultimately sets the price in every market segment. I hapen to disagree with your comments that you can find a "better" (meaning better looking/more talented etc) provider in TJ...been there many many times. There are a number of wonderful ladies here that take second place to no one and charge a fair & reasonable price for their time & services. The demand curve cuts both ways:)...

2nd) If your a provider people will talk about you...period. Simply get used to it and be grateful for it. The moment folks start to talk about you...you've arrived. Kimberly & MJ being to recent examples. The moment folks stop talking about you....well you "left" and unless your awful well established your business will soon follow. Some people will spread lies and malicious gossip...and those who know and love you will support you and stand up for you.

The bottom line in any business is simple. Provide a quality service or product at a fair price and people will beat down your door. Overhype & overcharge and you'll constantly stuggle for business. Any good business person will tell you its easier to keep a customer than constantly find new ones. As TLC and others have found out...it pays to be nice (within reason) to the locals....we never leave....we never forget....and once you've won us over we come back again and again and again.
