Some ladies (of the street) aren't worth didley, then there are the ones you are talking about and they are worth what the market will BARE lol. What would you pay for Bo Derek or Jenna Jamison? The question is mute wouldn't you say?
Every once in a while, I have noticed that a non-porn star provider pops up who charges double (or more) than the going rate. Below is a link to the first review of a hottie who has been up on eros for many months.
The review proves that there is always someone willing to climb the ends of the demand curve. Providers have made posts on the board pointing out the arrogance of such providers, and then the provider defends about not wanting to see more than one person per day (which I can understand). On the other hand, if too few hobbiests call, then the chance to turn a profit is undermined.
The point of this poll is to determine just how steep is the demand curve. Assuming that the review is completely accurate, answer me this . . .
1. How many of you regular hobbiests would see Leah for $350/hour?
2. For $400?
3. For $450?
4. For $500?
Personally, this review contains too many "YMMV"s for my taste - especially when I could spend twice as much time with my ATF for the same $$.
Actually, the reason I am REALLY offended is that she quoted ME $600/hour!
First of all sounds like there's is a menu, ala carte....my question to this is, what do you get for the $350 verses what you were wanting for the $600. Expensive pussy and tits. Was kissing an extra item? Passion?
I know I offer a hot passionate service for a very reasonable rate and I still get asked for a 1/2hr or a reduced 2 hour rate, I just won't do it, when I know I'm doing the same thing in 1/2 hr vs 1 hr.
But there is something to be said about a higher rates is that, it's being paid...obviously, agencies and other providers get it and are getting reviews one after the other...
What's real aggravating is you get a client, see him a few times, then the next thing your getting a request for a reference for a much higher rate service. I don't mind him going some where else nor giving the reference but I feel cheated, especially when you see him again.
So dammed if you do and dammed if you don't

I have no problem with a consultant (of any kind) charging whatever they think the market will support. At the same time, as a consumer of services I simply select the pricepoint that I feel comfortable with and stick with it.
There are a number of gals who I think of very foundly who simply have moved beyond my "comfort zone"....doesnt mean I think any less of them....simply that they've eliminated me from their potential pool of clients. That however doesnt make them any less wonderful....
If your "offended" because someone is setting s price for services beyond your comfort level your viewing it incorrectly. You simply need to find what works for you and work within those constraints.
Personally, I dont consider anyone who's rates are at that level{~$600}. From my persective its simply no harm no foul no sale
.......
there are so many providers on the scene at the moment, don't know why anyone would be interested in paying those higher rates. A glut of great talent, if you will. It has been my experience also that the higher prices don't necessarily translate into better or more service. Like most everything else in life, I'd rather extend my pooning dollars to catch up with as many ladies as I can.

Her ad actually says rates start at $3oo and then go up from there.please make sure to read her whole ad love. She is a hottie!!So sweet at the party to.
Not offended, but I was aware of the posted amount. I am not sure what the $300 on her site involves (a good look?), but she has told me and other hobbiests that FS is $600. I have no doubt that she is sweet and is a knockout. My only curiousity is how many hobbiest would put that kinda money down in light of the competition. That's all.
Man, this is as old as the business. And the debate will never end. Each girl is unique. Their "expression" of who they are is unique and their own choice. Some girls choose to charge "market" rates, while others, less and some more.
The feelings of buying cologne at Nordtrom only to walk into Wal-Mart and see it for 40% less are the same. Then you walk into an outlet mall and find it for another 10% off as it is last years model, well, same movie. But if the cologne makes you happy. And Nordstrom makes you happy, well, maybe buy it at Nordstrom?!
As for the high end - sometimes you get more from girls that charge more. Sometimes not. But that is the risk. Finding out. I've been down the path and have had been pleasantly surprised more than 80% of the time. Meaning, I was left smiling for days. Do I do that often? No. Just economics and my needs for that are not always there.
Key here is, I know no one who has seen her that I personally know so I would not go down that path. And I don't take team hits at those rates.
But I gots to tell ya's, I am MIGHTY curious as she was slammin'! at the party. I talked to her for a few minutes, got the "we start at $$$" quote, and knew the movie. Yet I still thought about it. And it could be a YMMV type thing option for her as well. I'm getting all conflicted thinking about it cuz I am remembering her. Those jean shorts, and strikingly beautiful natural look. Sigh.....
If anyone who knows me sees her, send me a note ASAP!!!!!
Peace,
As I read your response, you made me think of the prestige premium.
A BMW does not have the enhancements in quality over a Toyota that justify the disporporate difference in price, but the BMW is paying for the prestige. Is there a prestige premium for escorts? Is it the idea that the provider only sees a select few? Maybe that's it - maybe that's an additinal turn-on. What's funny is that everybody here defends the free market, but when you ask the very questions designed to ilicit information that makes the market "free" - you get slammed by the providers and hobbiests alike. I'm not complaining, I'm just inquiring.
In the same way, I have not seen a direct correlation between price and quality - the best experience I ever had was $350 and the worst was $420, and the rest is somewhere in between. But I would rather go to the $350 ATF then risk a YMMV at $600. Apparently, some will take that risk. My question is - what makes them do that?
In your luxury car analogy, it's not simply prestige-if a BMW appeals to you on one or more levels, you can easily afford it, and the only available information is a positive review from someone else who's had a BMW, why shouldn't you buy?
Doesn't buying anything entail risk? Would the chance that the BMW might not be everything I want it to be, or was led to believe from someone else, lead me to conclude I should buy two Toyotas instead?
In my opinion, where the difficulty lies with all these "great debates", is in trying to make meaningful, objective assertions about what is the most subjective of "purchases".
The intimate interaction between two people simply doesn't fit neatly onto a review form, despite mighty attempts to do so. Objective analysis fails utterly in this case. YMMV becomes the only real "truth".
Even your last question-what makes them do that, is predicated on the subjective assertions you make earlier.
I believe any source of information regarding a provider tells me simply whether said provider falls inside or outside my criteria of choosing.
What someone else believes or has experienced is certainly interesting reading, but hardly to be relied upon if I am attempting my own personal "informed" decision.
I have a link to a very interesting dissertation on objective vs. subjective experiences. When I read it filtered through my various experiences, especially in the hobby, I found it fascinating.

I would never open up myself to answering why I would spend say $200 on one girl, and say $700 on another. What I like and what turns me on is not the same as anyone else, and quite frankly, it is up to the person selling to learn. I want to keep my "negotiation" tactics my own business and my likes.
The concept of the free market also is a demographic one. $350 may not be high for Phoenix, but is way high for Dallas, and way cheap for New York.

I would feel so bad. I for one was thinking of changing my prices since my reviews back it up all the way & cause I'm a true gfe 100% but just don't think it would be in my favor. Whoever this chick is DAMN she has BIG *****... LOL

Nope Lot Fine Ladys Here Fair Pricing To High If You Stop Paying Those Prices They Will Drop Them
...to the Indy party a week ago, telling her she'd probably expose herself to some new people. Well, she walked into the room, and NOT a single soul knew who she was! And, she knew no one there, either, which I found very interesting.
So, my friends and I who were there really don't know if she's the real deal, or not. I personally know quite a few hobbyists locally, and cannot find any intel about her at all. Real reviews? Nope. Attractive? Yes? Polite? Well, I'm not too sure, because, after I extended her the invitation, and she showed up, she knew how to contact me if she wanted to thank me, but I have never heard from her since that night. Perhaps, once she met me she knew I'd NEVER spend the six, let alone the grand LOL.
And, until someone I trust tells me she's a must-see, I wouldn't consider seeing her for any price, not six, nor five, four or three.
Our community has too many great fun-lovers who are well-spoken of and proven, both Indies and from Agencies, for me to even consider chancing it with Leah.
Thank U 4 all you do in Phoenix!, or try 2 to do...as always keep the chin up,and watch out 4 the redheads around town(they will rock U),ok,,LOL....

Redheads have more fun while rocking u to.. LOL
I think we all recognize that this is not a commodity buisness. Two providers may share a common acronym list; but time with the two may be very distinct - each with their own special moments.
Drawing on a recent joke, each apartment has a different view and different heat controls, and a different size. So, commodity pricing isn't applicable.
But, why would a hobbiest pay such a premimum? I can only think of one reason. If I am a time constrained person (no down time) and I decide I have an itch RIGHT NOW and RIGHT NOW falls on, say, a friday or sat. night (I assume a busy period), then I may want a provider that I can immediatly reach on the phone and she'll say, "I'll be there in 30 minutes". Such a provider can charge a premium for pricing herself out of the general market to help ensure her availability for a select few. There are other analogies to this practice. Gas station A charges $4/gallon with no lines vs. across the street there are long lines for $3/gallon. I am not comparing our provider community to gasoline!!!
my thoughts....FWTW.

Most agencies will get you in with one or more of your favorites on very short notice and they charge competitively.
