If you are uncomfortable, or feel that a few extra pounds are a health issue, then by all means, go on a campaign to lose that 30 pounds. Not everyone with a few extra pounds is unhealthy or unattractive. Personally, I'm so skinny that I only have one side, but I'm okay with that.

I am very uncomfortable. Health issues are important to me but also is my inability to have the energy I once had. I love to hike, powerwalk and do other cardio. The 30 pound weight gain has made me slow and tired.  Of course, self esteem is a mild concern. Not what others think, what I think of myself.

More power to them. I personally need to address my weight issue as it has become the focus of every day, every hour of my life. I hate that I am consumed with my weight and really hate that I haven't done anything but get heavier!

I know how you feel, I've been on both sides of the fence, I once offered to go on the Howard Stern radio show to embarass myself into losing weight

I went up there and the lobby security and Howards driver was swooning over how hot I was so I left

Do what makes you feel good.

If it makes you feel good to want to post to maybe get yourself motivated. Do it.

No one else has to understand your reasoning but you. You know what YOU need inside of yourself, so I applaud you.
