A big thank you to those who have served or are currently serving in our nation's military. We cannot thank you enough for all you do to preserve our freedom and liberties.

Thank you to all our military.

a prayer thanking thousands who died serving our country. Special gratitude for all of those wounded,  maimed, horribly disfigured and those waiting more than a year to just have their paper work processed to see if they will receive medical help.

There are still homeless people with honorable military discharges.

Even now that science has proven that concussions and simple sudden head jarring causes irreversible brain damage, that gets progressively worse with age, claims consistent with brain damage with out a wound are denied.

Hold those that have been raped while serving our country close to your hearts.

Whenever I hear, or read from people concerning Veterans Day or Memorial Day and they talk or write the wrong meaning of the Holiday......

Veterans Day is an official United States holiday that honors people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, also known as veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.)

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.

For me, they are inseparable, on both occasions, and gloss over those who made it back home in a different condition than when they left.

As one person pointed out treatment of military changed when it went to volunteer, Congressional concerns no longer had to cover their family members.
