Moving away from the cool coastal breeze maybe hard lol, so besides the obvious answers AC, pool, etc...

Anything I may not know about?

Please do not suggest tubing down the river because I have been there & done that.

Any big conventions in AZ, or HOT Spots?

I love a good Casino, so what's the best in PHX?

Ummm... well, Phoenicians love to visit San Diego in summer.

It does get really friggin' hot, and by the time October is here and it is still hot - you're really done with it.

Too hot for conventions.

I don't do casinos, but people seem to like Fort McDowell, Casino AZ and Gila River.

Lots of good restaurants though.
And Margaritas help.

I hear the new Talking Stick resort and casino is pretty sweet. Actually there are quit a few new casino's opening around the valley. Other than that I can only suggest Payson, Show Low, Heber...etc. Lakes work too. There are several not to far outta town. And of course if you like guns there is at least on gun show a month in this town at a convention center near you.

Personaly, as far as casinos. Talking Stick is the classiest but Lone Butte seems to be the best to win. just my opinion.  As far as cool things to do. the coolest thing here in the summer is to jump on my motorcycle early in the morning and get the hell out of Dodge (Phoenix) and go anywhere up North. Or go to Vegas and the topless pool at the Mirage? Of course thers no way it'll be cool if your there with your hot self. Or you could go to a golf course when the sprinklers are on get naked and run through the grass letting the water spray on that beautiful body. sorry, got a little carried away. My imagination took over.

Heard good stuff about Talking Stick -- restaurants there look good.

Good deals at the nice resorts during summer.

Payson
Prescott
Greer
Show Low

And me, serving up fruit, and waving a fan...

Sedona and Jerome are always fun in the summer.  Slide Rock State Park is always popular to keep cool.

As far as conventions, ComicCon is happening soon.

If you want to get out in the sun here, rent a luxury boat and go to the lake for the day. Many people go to Vegas for the weekend. Talking stick not bad, but it's not Vegas. Northern Arizona is much cooler but kind of boring.

Just received my Veskimo--that will take care of 90+F wx when I want to do some work outside AND for when I ride my m.c.

What's nice abt tucson is that I can ride my mc year round.  Soooo, I do not own a car any more.

As soon as the sun goes down, we rapidly cool off yielding magical riding at night.
