keep him in your prayers and if possible drop him a note of sympathy.  Glenn is one of the great guys in our community and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

It is a extremely tough time for him right now and I know he would appreciate your support.....

Jack

This is a very tough time of the year to go thought this and I'm sure this community will come together to help you in any needs you have. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Glen and I had a long talk yesterday, while his dad was slowly sliping away....I learned that his father was a DR. who spent his life helping others and has been married to his loving wife   almost 50yrs they had one child a son named Glen who deeply loved them both. His father lived a  good life was an active guy that loved the outdoors ,rode a bike and tried to eat the right things and never smoked yet still life was too short for this man who loved his wife and son.I know he will be missed but he left here knowing how much his family loved him.Glen the apple has not fallen far from the tree you are a good man with a good heart your dad wherever he is....has to be very proud of you, I know you are with your mom and when you are home please call anytime you know how I feel about you my friend....

to you, Glen.  You are such a beautiful person and I'm sorry that you have to suffer this loss. I have never suffered the loss of someone so close, I can't  imagine.  Hugs and much love to you, Glen.

and as you know you have many friends here. Let me know if there is anything that you need or would like me to do. And I really mean that. You are a great friend. You have mail by the way.

Your posts and emails were greatly appreciated, more than you will ever know.

My father passed away around noon yesterday (Sat.). He died peacefully and with my mom at his side. I REALLY loved my dad and miss him terribly. He was an intelligent and compassionate man who when I was young...taught me much about life and living. In death, he taught me how to die with courage, grace, and humility.

In keeping with his last wishes, his body will be harvested for anything that can be used for organ transplants and the remainder used for medical research. Six hours after his death, we were informed that his corneas will be used to help someone see again. Something to think about for those considering organ transplant :)

My deepest gratitude again for all your emails, phone calls, and support :)

-Glen

I know from experience that losing one's dad really hurts.  Try to be there for your mom, but please do make sure that you do whatever you need to do to deal with your loss.

I know this will sound strange, but the harvesting of his corneas is fantastic news.  Through the years, I am sure that much that you have learned as been through your father's eyes.  Today, another generation, and another family has the chance to learn and benefit from this man's vision.

My thoughts are with you.
