Hi all,
Has anyone else had issues with their bank account bowing up because of the ter billing being in Malasia??? My bank denied all my monthly bills and I was humiliated in the grocery store while paying for my groceries. Has anyone else experienced this? They told me my account was flagged because of ccbill. I only signed up for a vip to see why someone put up a review when I am almost compleyely inactive and they were doing fake reviews.  Don't mind an ok review just seemed weird he didn't mention a cetain thing. Has anyone else had their bank account shut down because of this type of thing??? I am pulling my monthly billing because of this but if TER will find a way of billing that does not do this I will sign up again.

I would suggest you use a credit card instead of a debit card and not with the same company as your bank. I have had this happen to me before and the only way to deal with it is to have your bank totally separate to online payment sources. I even keep my paypal account going to a different checking account at a different bank. BofA did the same thing to me 2 times in a row they locked up my account over 2 weekends one was labor day weekend and it really drove me crazy because no one can do anything until regular business hours.

Donna,
Mine didn't blow up but I did get a call from my bank almost immediately after I signed up for VIP. I could imagine that if I wasn't here to answer that call that they might have suspended account activity until I verified that purchase and several others that were made around the same time. It shouldn't be hard to get access again but it is a bit embarrassing. Good luck with it.

I am going to get one of those green dot things. I did straighten it out but I thought I would warn any potential new members to go another route because it is soooo embarrasing to have a clerk at the register say declined when you know you have the money. By the way hello everyone I hope your all doing well!!!
Hugs!

Be careful when using bank account for ads of this nature.
I had an account at US bank closed on me because they saw that I placed ads on backpage. Charges on backpage were flagged and they closed my account, end of story. Now I use all gift cards for any ads to avoid these issues..It is bullshit your bank can tell you whom you can do business with but they can and do whatever they so choose.

Just sayin....

I had the same problem with a Green Dot card...closed my account and told me they wouldn't ever issue me a new one. I got a pre-paid American Express card, it reloads the same way, with a Money Pak, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it in the year or so I've had it.

Almost all online purchases get red flagged at your credit card processor.  This is spun as "for your protection" but the bank puts a hold on your account to protect them.  They are responsible for charges above $50 if the card is used for fraud.  They usually put a hold on the account until they can contact you to verify a few transactions, including the online transactions, and then you are on your way.

It's really no big deal to have a card denied anymore.  It happens so often to so many people that it's just routine.  The trouble is that you have to carry a couple of cards, just in case.

I was travelling this weekend and BofA put a hold on my card due to a ccbill charge.  Ok...

CCBill transactions are considered high risk by Visa (so much so that TER might actually be paying 12-15% just for processing fee alone), so any large transactions from CCB gets extra scrutiny. I'm a little confused about why that would affect your bank account though, unless you initiated a chargeback. Even still those are fairly routine and would only affect your ability to use your bank card with CCBill, and not anything beyond that.
