I’ve heard and run across many fake review sites (that have stole off ter mainly) and advertising sites that have stole from many. I advertise on one site only and i show up on several. All fake (except for that 1).  Do guys know the difference between the legit ones and the fake ones? And how do the women feel when that happens? I can only speak for myself and it upsets me! Feedback is appreciated ☺️

I've talked to a few ladies who have had varying results in getting them to remove the listings.

Last night I was made aware of a review site stealing info from Ter,and letting anyone post anything on that site... I was disheartened ,and disgusted that someone stated that I do everything bb, and one even stated” That she’s a nice girl ,she’s my ex wife!” I have never even been married ,and I don’t bb so, wtf!!  Is it  that easy to make up nasty things ,and hide behind aliases? how many people believe these lies? I often wonder is this a female trying to hurt me ,or my buisness? A gentleman I turned down because he had no Refrences?  It’s pretty sad all it takes is to jump on a site that’s not moderated, and brew up fake ,hurtful lies!!  A lot of of nice things were said about me until the last couple months which is odd when all the lies popped up on things that weren’t even slightly true!!

These sites steal our ads. Some of them promote things in the site name itself. It has people calling expecting services I do not offer. Then when I decline the men can say awful things. Some even have comments you can make directly on the ads. These guys are mad I pass on seeing them and then rip me up saying things far from the truth, like that I have a pimp which I DO NOT! It’s a nightmare and it discounts my brand.

... the average or inexperienced guy is highly not likely to be able to tell. It's illegal to steal intellectual content from a person or from a site like TER which owns all content rights to ads, reviews, photos, etc. published on its site. Legal action is rarely taken against the offenders because of the nature of the business and the desire for individuals or legit sites not wanting to draw attention to themselves. TER won't allow reference to or discussion of competing review sites and this is part of the problem. If we could call out those illegitimate sites on this board it would benefit both the Provider and TER from this type of theft.

..... and what can anyone do?   Even an experienced Hobbyist can be fooled, and anyone relatively new doesn't have a chance at deciphering truth from lies.   And, as has been mentioned, there are now so damn many fake sites, it's becoming increasingly had to separate truth from bullshit.
My only suggestion is to not waste precious energy trying to find a solution, I just don't think there can be one, because u can be sure a new fake site will spring up as soon as an existing one gets exposed.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, you're the BEST!

The fake sites are looking for advertising dollars. The immediate target are the women. If a woman comes across a site that seems to have lots of ads, she might think the site has  lot of business and then spend real money to advertise there.  Guys who have spent a reasonable amount of time at various sites might realize the ads are bogus but this will be much harder for most women to recognize.  Many are ads that are several years old, from women who are no longer in town or no longer active,  which cuts down on demands to take the ads down.
If there's no way to enforce laws on stealing other's property or willfully false advertising, and no way to tell the community where problems exist (such as TER's ban on mentioning other sites in any context) then this kind of fraud will always proliferate.  As everyone know, these fake sites aren't the only example of sites having financial incentives to encourage/tolerate false information.

I have P411 and a TER membership, so I always use those to find companions. I don’t have a high level of trust for fringe sites and other than looking at pictures, I don’t put any weight into them

I spend way too much time on TER so I have limited exposure to some of the fakes.  But based on the previous comments, the problem is extensive with apparently little that can be done against it.  Fake ad sites are bad enough, but fake review sites where blatant lies can be posted are absolutely horrendous.  I did not know about this problem, and I think most guys are unaware as well....

So you are saying there is a fake TER site where everyone's handle are all the same out on the internet?

What if someone just disrupted the space time continuum and set in a series of events which created an alternate reality where providers are doing bbfs?

...... Q would sort it out. And STD's will have mostly been cured in the 24th Century.
But, this is now and not some fictional reality.
Bummer.

Outlining a plot for screenplay:

Some time traveler goes back to the early 1900's in Africa.  Wipes out all monkeys and chimps carrying the simian immunodefficiency virus, which mutated into HIV after Africans scratched their hands while butchering them.  In the alternative reality everyone is stuck back in the 70's era free love with only herpes to contend with.  Providers willingly offer bbfs and additionally no apes ever learn sign language.

I very much appreciate all the advice and shared experiences. I knew it was bad but I honestly didn’t know to what extent it has affected people.
A provider friend that has been in the business for quite some time told me a story today that gives me hope for future change.
She said she remembers when she first started providing she had an ad in the paper, a pager and a credit card machine as big as a laptop that plugged into a phone jack lol. Things have evolved (thankfully) a lot since then, hopefully they will continue to change for the better.
Until then it seems all we really can do is communicate with each other to try and avoid the problematic sites.
I wish you all an amazing holiday season! Xoxo
