Although I have only attended one of these parties in the last two years, I think it's lovely that you attempt to get everyone in the community involved in some way! I will be at this party and I look forward to seeing all of you. It's been almost a year since I last attended a gathering and I'm really excited to see everyone in costume! So, to Mya and the "party coordinators," I just want to say thank you for all of your hard work. If there's anything I can do to help, be sure to let me know!

Sincerely,
Andi Ryan

Let's all bring some canned food items to the party to donate to St. Mary's Food Bank.  They are in fact the world's first food bank and are a great organization that needs everyone's help.

I have cut and pasted right from their web site what items they want or you can give a monetary donation as well.  Let's show some compassion.
I have also included a link to their site.

What should be collected at the food drive?

Food drive participants should only collect nonperishable food items. These items are used to fill Emergency Food Boxes. The most needed items include (also listed on the Food Drive Guide):

Tuna

Canned fruits and vegetables

Peanut Butter

Rice

Cereal

Pasta

Beans

Juice (plastic bottles)

St. Mary's / Westside Food Bank Alliance can only collect the following items* from food drive participants for its Emergency Baby Boxes:

Diapers

Powdered infant formula

Baby wipes

Baby cereal

*Due to safety guidelines, the Food Bank cannot accept jarred and canned baby food.

Monetary Donations:
The Food Bank will accept cash or checks, made out to St. Mary's / Westside Food Bank Alliance, from food drive participants.
