Do you remember June 26, 1990?
It had a high that day of 122 and they had to shut down the airport for a few hours in the afternoon.  This was due to the charts only went to 125 degrees for the tarmac and it was at 127 degrees.

So the FAA had to close it and do the calculations for hotter temps.

That was so weird, airport closed cuz it was too hot. And they even had T shirts made up saying
"I survived 122 degrees"

thank goodness I was in Tucson that day, where it was only 117!  Speaking of which, back to Tucson for me in a few weeks.  Nothing like multiple massive life changes rolled into one month...

Yup, I remember that.  I was driving to Las Vegas from AZ for a visit.  The car I was driving only overheated once, which was actually surprising to me since it was a clunker that was on its way out.

Thanks sweetie. You are welcome to back to "the island" any time.  Of course you will always "survive" butyou will be weak & drained :)

See you soon.

I was on the golf course and didn't know it until after we finished the round. We were drinking anything we could find and driving the golf carts through the spinklers when we could find one on.

I was not here but I saw the national weather and still told my friends I was moving out here.

I do remember that. I was helping a friend move into his first house that day.  I can only guess how much water I drank. I didn't do much the next day.
