I heard the news this morning on my way to Sky Harbor for a cross-country trip.  It was quite an experience.

trying to travel yesterday was a nightmare.  Wednesday I flew to Chicago, took my Coffee Bean concoction on the plane along with my overnight bag filled with all of my beauty goodies.  Not a problem other than a couple of kids going back to Northwestern getting very drunk on the plane.

Thursday I felt as though I was in a different country.  Aside from the HOURS of delays and airports being PACKED full of crying babies and folks who would just sit and stare into space rather than help some poor elderly person who wanted to go to the bathroom in a toilet rather than in their wheelchair (a little venting here, whatever happened to chivalry??) there was an underlying current of fear.  People looking at everyone who boarded their much delayed plane wondering, no doubt, "is that person a terrorist?  Will I survive this flight?".  Needless to say there were very few people sleeping on that 3.5 hr. flight yesterday.

Our world keeps changing, but is it evolving towards a higher purpose or a more paranoid one?

Sheesh........

Air is still the safest mode of travel despite the crazies. Just got back from driving Chicago to NJ and saw 2 horrendous crashes within 100 miles. Terri, I would be happy to hold your hand on the plane ride!

Nice of you to visit the Phx board...I wouldn't have a problem flying it's all the lines and waiting and NO LIPSTCK that bothers me more than anything....not to mention arriving 2 or 3 hours before your flight.
I know when Tina and I visited Chicago we traveled the red eye and it was great...so maybe that's the way to go!!!!!

I'll be back very soon, and looking forward to round 2. heeee heeee

kisses and hugs
Terri
