Still yet ANOTHER landmark has closed...The Pink Pony in Scottsdale after 61 years in business.
This economy is really taking its toll on all of us but it also is taking away A LOT of Phoenix area history.

Wow, that is a real landmark.  Pretty soon downtown Scottsdale will just be nightclubs and malls.

honestly, it's not just the fact that it's a landmark, but proof that the country is going down fast. Just because it doesn't have to do with the industry, doesn't meant that Misty should be verbally attacked. It's a discussion board, she's discussing something. If you don't like the thread, don't read it. The nasty comments have a resemblance to the drama that used to be on CL.

I loved the Pinky Pony and hate to hear that it is closing. I guess, I will have to cross it off my list...I will not be eating there, when I come back this winter :(

Have a great day,
Kelly

...several times while shopping in Old Town I considered going in there for a steak but I was never quite sure about the place, so I didn't. I wish I had known more about it and it's history. My loss, and Scottsdale's, too.
It's good that you understand that Phoenix' and Scottsdales' resorts and offerings are a favorite vacation and convention area for many of us non locals from all over the country. This type of information is appreciated even if a little off topic. :)

One of my first dinner dates was at The Pink Pony.

Thanks for the info Misty the Pink Pony was one of my favorite steak houses in Scottsdale along with Durant’s in Phoenix. Sorry to see them go.

I assume you meant "THEM" in general - Durant's is still around... I love going there and using my 50th anniversary token for lifetime free dessert!!

This is sad. I can remember this place at Prom time in my high school days. I hope that the economy turns around for us soon.

Just the Pink Pony, Durant's is doing fine so keep enjoying  your dessert for another 50 years.

so i think the closing of a restuarant as popular as this one would definitely be important to note.

thanks
