The Studio bust now up to 16

8 have now been arrested - there is confusion since AZ Republic, Foxnews and abcnews said owner plus 8 women arrested in raid and one is new arrest after the raid, so seem to have lost a few!

Grand Jury Supervening Indictment and arrest warrants issued for 8 more trying to find.

Owner held on $50,000 cash bond.  Initial Pretrial on 8/21 before judge Stephens (same as Temple and Jody Arias Judge!)

Typical bond for just gal workers seems to be $10,000. Various attorney's already withdrawn. Appears may be transferred to Legal Defenders office like Temple case, not public defenders for those that can not afford the high cost of private attorneys.  This means private attorneys only paid about $1200 by the state for entire case.

A few it appears have private attorneys

As they find more records of people they may keep adding more as in other cases.

Multiple felonies mostly Class 3 probably could face 10+ years in prison

Office of Legal Defense attorneys paid about $1200 by state for those that can not afford private attorneys.

Private attorneys typical charge $10,000-$25,000 if plea.  Much more if go to trial.

My intent is to save gals from prison and felony records which some appreciate.

It is very easy to do things right and all the busts are reminders how when you do things wrong there are serious consequences.   I get many private responses via e-mail thanking me for info - not everyone is on the Private List just mainly escorts for free.

The guys have no clue the risks the gals take.

As most folks know 99% of the time my info is 100% accurate mostly taken from Court records.

As most folks know I've been an advocate for 20 years for the profession, trying to fight the unique laws in the U.S. and "preaching" on how easy it is to be safe.   Yet only a few follow the rules to be safe and therefore we have many facing serious criminal charges, RICO possession of property and most serious the aggressive multiple felonies.

I realize some folks do not want to know facts just share happy news and all the stuff to get more clients usually including things that makes busts easy (like GFE or worse in ads).

I know too many escorts whose lives have been ruined for just doing hand releases or when no direct evidence against them only guilty by association with someone else.   One of the big agencies may have just gone down, besides the Studio, but not enough info to report on yet.

Some folks want to know reality not just be ignorant.  Especially when felony or even 15 days in Tent City risk is so high.

Again there are ways as I have discussed in huge detail for years to be safe but is mostly ignored.   Sorry if preaching safe sexwork is offensive just like safe sex is ignored by most.

IT is like the gay movement which took 20+ years to get law changed.

We now have attorny's ready to fight have wins on related issues at Appeals Court and of course Lawrence vs texas but no one able to afford attorney fees for the long fight.

If more folks were aware of the issues they may be more support to change it to be more in line with the rest of the world.   This board has the widest coverage (good or bad) to let the maximize number of people get upset and maybe in another 20 years will be motivated to help change the laws via Court actions.

The PL is very under the radar for a legal reason so only about 350 workers get.  Many more read here and need to wake up to the legal risks of not acting safely.  When they have knowledge they may change but most, especially newer workers have no clue the risk of arrest, possibly lifetime felony record they risk by not doing "safe escorting"   And most guys could care less since they have almost no risk.

For some avoiding possible prison is worth getting serious information about - especially with all the felonies being charged and layered for very long potential prison terms not to mention inability for many to ever have good employment outside the industry with the record.  Or even being able to travel outside the U.S. as many countries (canada for one) will not let you in with most any criminal record.

I realize the truth is offensive to many here but unless zillions more are aware and support action for change, many with go to prison/jail and nothing will get done for another 20 years.

I have no financial interest in this, am rarely a customer since my interests are more on the intimacy side than sex acts and prefer some strip clubs or of course Canada without the issues and services that are far more what I enjoy.

I find Dave's posts interesting and informal. No offense Lacey but, IMO you shouldn't tell someone to stop posting about issues that they're passionate about, especially when its relevant to the hobby. If you don't want to read his posts, just ignore them. Don't discourage him. Just thought you were kinda harsh...

I appreciate the info Dave, thanks!

With all due respect Ladies, If Dave is fairly accurate, which he seems to be, don't run him off. Most people that work in the profession either don't have the time or, do not feel comfortable putting their name on posts when they may have a conflict. I think Dave spends a substantial amount of unpaid effort to keep you guys and dolls informed. It would be crazy to make Dave feel un welcome. IMO  If I were you, I would thank this guy and listen to the warning.

Excuse me but considering the magnitude it's not like he's constantly spamming.  Jeeeez, one would think it would be good to get head out of sand and know what's going on!!

Dave, are you out to personally destroy any business from this site and the other one with your repeated posts about busts?  Isn't this information on your private list for those who would want to hear about it?  The bust happened a while ago and your posts always say appears to, maybe, and about. Nothing concrete, sounds like a tabloid to me. (Sources say)

I agree and support what Stacey Lynn had Said.  Passion and patience run together to pave the way for change and understanding.  Infomation needs to be shared so we can all draw our conclusions.  Then have some meaningful conversations

Exactly.... why should AZLacy be dictating where we should get our information??  I know she's a bit older and obviously behind the times, but common, we should get our info from the "newspaper"???  Yea right.  Some people are always unhappy I suppose.

Thanks Dave for the info. I'm from NM and I've seen how careless I've been and now see what kind of repercussions there are for not using common sense. It's actually refreshing to see someone try and help these ladies understand there are repercussions for this business. Here in NM mainly Albuquerque/Santa Fe, cops have been making plea deals with girls here to give up names and be used as references. They don't have access to this info and get scared. Info like this is valuable and should be shared. Again. Thank you Dave.
