feelings about the men and women that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom....I'm truly a patriot at heart and I cry at the sound of the National Anthem much less TAPS
I'll be going to the Veterans National Cemetery as both my mom and dad are together with all our AZ Comrades, It really is a beautiful site to see all the flags on the grave sites! You count on my crying at the site of that too!
On a light note....My mom always said after my dad passed that she was going to rest in peace on top of her husband. That really does make me feel somewhat better knowing they are together forever and couldn't be in a better than at the National Cemetery here in Phx.
Love to you all and be safe this weekend! xoxox Terri

but it really wasn't about mom and dad, it's just their there and will always think of them being on top of each other with all our hero's, it just makes me really proud to be an American and I know you have the same sentiments cuz you served our country so this really is about all you hero's! You will all be remembered! Thank you for your service to our country and to all those that read this!
Please everyone be safe, many drunks on the road and LE is beefing up DUI check points! Terri
Some say I look ole enough to have been at Valley forgd and crossed that river with good ole George twas the Mekong where I did my time and I did surive left there with everything I had when I did arrive. I still shed a tear because many friends who are dear are not here.
Yes a prayer to all who gave their life from the first shhot of the revolution to this very day.
That was really a bad war as they all are but it's how you guys were treated when you got home and I can't imagine how it was other than seeing the films that really portrayed it and most were done correctly....I know my Dad wasn't treated well, tried to get on with Lockheed (spelling) and no one was hiring...then he got a job at a lumber yard cutting wood and one day caught a naught and lost 3 finger and almost his hand, while healing all these aviation companies starting calling....I can't say what he told them! i know that's not even 1 tenth of what others went through....
You're a good man and I know these holidays are hard for you as with many other Vets! I just so glad that you all do come together as brothers!
hope to give you a big hug and kiss next week...if you're a boy we may do something else! love ya Terri
My eternal gratitude for those who gave so selflessly and honorably.
I'm always deeply touched when I visit my father's grave on Memorial Day and find that the local VFW has already been there and placed an American flag on his grave. There are many great organizations that support the honor and memory of those who have sacrificed so much for us and even the smallest gesture can mean so much. My favorites are USO, VFW and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Giving back to others can feel so good!!! DS
Thank you, sweetie that was really nice and I agree both my parents were very much in involved with the American Legion...Dad was president and mom was President of the Auxiliary for years gave back....I always enjoyed the poppy celebration
