I am so glad to be back from a very sad and hellish three-week tour of funerals. The number is up to 14 in two and a half years. I just got back from my grandma's funeral and then flew to see my sick dad and help take care of him. He died a week and a half later, but I was grateful to be at his side and help him with his discomfort. I guess my favorite aunt is ready to meet her maker soon. I know that growing old and dieing is a natural part of life, yet it is hard to see loved ones die. I can remember helping with my grandfather when he was ill, and I was only 13. That experience made me want to help our senior citizens. They do not get enough respect here in the United States, nor do our veterans.

I still believe in the saying, "With age comes wisdom" and a lot of aches and pains. Also, "That which does not kill you only makes you stronger."

I hope everyone else has had some good times these past three weeks. Never take anyone for granted! I was also sorry to hear about DD and the other unfortunate happenings in the community. I wish LE would target rapists, murderers, child abusers and terrorists more than us.
