oral sex is a Class 6 felony in Virginia. The VA Code Section is 18.2-361(A) and is called "Crimes Against Nature. It includes, oral and anal sex. It does not matter if one is married or not, all persons participating in any of these acts are committing a felony. The fine is $2,500 per occurance, plus court costs, 5 years in prison as well as Sex Offender Registration

 The US Supreme Court consistently strikes down state laws which prohibit consensual sex between adults. The above "law" would never be upheld if prosecuted.

Someone wants to bring back a law that makes it a felony to get  BJ from your own wife, I'd say clown would be an understatement.   I'm all for people doing their own thing, it's when they want to push their antiquated beliefs on me that it becomes an issue.  If he wants to forego oral from his own wife, I'm 100% in agreement with  his right to do so.

...I have given A LOT of oral sex (little bit of anal too haha) in Virginia but only since late 2008 haha.
I live in DC but 99% of the time work in the NoVA suburbs.  Oh my.
I hope that law isn't re-instated lol. :/

The thing is, even if he was able to get a new law passed, it would be selectively enforced, if at all. It is simply because he cannot stand the thought of the sexual activities of homosexuals and thinks this is the way to stop it.

Yeah, each state has dozens if not hundreds of dumb/unenforceable laws on the books, some 200 years old.   A quick google search will yield massive results. Stuff like: an establishment that serves alcohol must also have soup cooking or it being illegal to say swear words in public. The saying "rule of thumb" comes from a law that says the stick used to beat your slave or wife (I forget which) could be no bigger diameter than your thumb.
