If you didn't have references and the lady still agreed to see you, maybe she got cold feet with what was going on with TER. I have seen so many weird rumors the last day, it's just amazing.

My suggestion...go with a well reviewed provider next time who has a history of being on time etc.

and she was ok with the info you had given and you were instructed to call and you did....shame on her for not getting back with you.  Sure things happen but she should have called you to inform she had to cancel...just common courtesy.

Have you had any contact since then?

I know it is frustrating, but remember, there are lots of reasons why she wasn't there when you called (car trouble, family emergency, illness, etc) which have nothing to do with you, or indicates she is a flake.  Yes, she should have returned you call, but stuff happens.

When this happens to me, being a nice guy, I usually call or email the next day to ask what happened.  Usually the lady in question has a convincing explanation and makes things good.  If not, move on.

This truly does happen all too often, from ladies who are well reviewed and who are not.  I agree with Anna that taking time to view a lady's reviews are a good indication, I have recently had this happen with not one but two well reviewed ladies with whom I have even seen before.  Have no idea what's going on lately, but it can be quite frustrating.
