State of Arizona argues evil, disease and family life as compelling interest to enforce AZ felony prostitution laws (Criminal Enterprise):
August 9, 2013 Motion by State in Temple case includes:
Courts regularly have clearly established prostitution as "evil" (cites 1990 Appeals Court State v Taylor). Also cites Williams case where State has a compelling interest including "preventing venereal disease, related crimes of violence and theft, and protecting the integrity and stability of family life."
The fight is now on AGAIN for some defendants regarding the Hardesty test applying to all the felony charges with 70 years in prison threatened in the Temple Case (via layering on of felony charges like money laundering every time money turned in). Trial now scheduled for October if anyone left not taking felony plea for probation instead of prison. Probably trial will get again be delayed - now about 3 years from the raid and indictment of 38.
Sadly Phoenix continues to be ground zero for the trafficking excuse scam and hidden data showing vast majority of arrests consenting adults - but huge grant money to fight trafficking has to be spent and lots of current activity in Phoenix by many reports in last few weeks.
Looks like nationwide the FBI taskforce ratio is at least 10 consenting adults arrested for every one 16 or 17 year old found. But FBI is trying to hide the data but local media gets from local PD like 30 adult Phoenix arrests to find two teenagers on Phoenix BP a few weekends ago. Local PD is now continuing - 4 recent escort arrests in Scottsdale simply for not having an escort license (basically impossible to comply with requirements) and have to have license number on all ads. (two at 69th St location, one at Indian School Rd and one at E McDowell Rd locations - appears to be outcalls
References are being faked frequently and appears to be use of reference checking sites as in other cities.
Everyone needs to be careful as always and especially no GFE or sexual terms in ads or websites - slam dunk solicitation bust without further contact . Of course never discuss money for any sex act or abbreviation - that is not legal uniquely in the U.S vs Canada or most of the world.
Experienced winning lawyers are lined up (especially for our 9th Circuit) for a fight of the law but need right case and biggest issue is raising about $100k for legal fees.
Lots more info of course you know where...
Sadly in the big massage busts (of 3 parlors) all pled, some to prison some probation and a co-owner committed suicide days before prison sentencing after pled. The gals face the rest of their lives as convicted felons as with most in the Temple case.
I know I bring bad news but the industry needs to fight or be destroyed as is the goal of the victim industry benefiting from this - and be extremely careful never to suggest or in ads have anything related to illegal sex acts
