where do you recommend to out of town guests who are looking for a relaxing weekend...I'm looking for a place with a "club" level - I was looking at the Ritz as a potential or the Biltmore.

Someplace with a spa for a massage would be nice...

Please help....

Thanks -

T. Cooks restaurant isn't half bad, either. They are more noted for the fabulous deserts. The Alvadora spa isn't bad, either.  Right about now the exotic ambiance is enhanced by the intoxicating scent of orange blossom (neroli) that permeates the air. Sit fireside at one of the little outdoor niches and enjoy the fire, florals, and mesquite.  For rooms I recommend a casita.  Ahhhh.......

but I'm not sure if it's in Arizona or Timbuktu.  The Boulders is definately in Timbuktu.

If you like the Royal Palms, you should try the Hermosa Inn. Both places were remodeled and funrished by the same people. Lon's also puts out some pretty good grub.

Sanctuary on Camelback is very private and classy.  Have to agree with Sedona about Royal Palms, though.  It's pretty romantic (as long as W isn't in town).

I also like the simpleness of the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa. Plus, the food at the Wrigley Mansion (located nearby) is pretty darn appealing. I also like the Camelback Inn. I tend to prefer smaller, more earthy and/or tropical settings to the larger resorts that you have to walk a mile to get anywhere.

I'd second The Boulders as a possibility. Otherwise I'd agree with Sedona...

E N J O Y!

however; I always get lost trying to navigate that place.  Perhaps it is because I am always looking for a different room rather than a specific shop!!!  LOL

I have to admit that my favorite Phoenix hotel is the Phoenician.  Old School with a classic twist -  the service is top notch and I adore the restaurants.  I have to admit that a chocolate martini - they do make the best - sitting on the veranda of the Thirsty Camel just makes my heart sing.

Their pools are amazing and are available till the wee hours.

Ahhh.....  yes, I think that my favorite will ALWAYS be the Phoenician......

I like the Fairmount Scottsdale Princess.  Great place to relax, wonderful poolside massages, excellent golf course too and an excellent staff.
