With the holidays quickly approaching us, and the Joys of families getting together to enjoy each others company, please take a moment of your time to remember that we still have many many U.S. service men and women away from their families during the holiday season. We also have many soldiers new and old at the veterans hospitals across our country that can not be with their families due to injuries sustained in fighting for our freedoms.
Take a moment to send some holiday cheer to your local V.A. hospital, by dropping off a card or gifts to those soliders who served for us.
You can also send an email to the troops in any branch or every branch by visiting the site listed in the link below.
So while you are fighting for a parking space at the mall, grumbling in line at the post office or choking down auntie lulu's infamous fruit cake, take a moment to think of those who aren't able to enjoy the freedoms of the holiday season this year, because they have a job to do in a far away place,or they have given up a limb or a life so you can continue with yours.
No matter where you stand on the issue of war, it is the issue of humanity that we need to address.
