Why don't the oil companies follow Cherry's example by lowering THEIR prices in this
sluggish economy?

Maybe my subject line should have been "gas prices too high? One person is thinking about the consumer." Maybe you have money to burn. I was commenting on how cool it was that Cherry lowered her rate, which on her website states was based on the "sluggish economy".  Whatever the reason, I'm stoked that such a hotty is more affordable than ever.

Sounds like Brokeback Economics to me!

is in no way sluggish. The current graduating class's are getting record offers at all levels. Overall jobgrowth is quite robust...although as always the line between the skilled and unskilled workforce continues to grow. It certainly is a "brave new world" in many ways....but far from sluggish...
