I'll be visiting next month for aout 4 days... Better to be by the airport? Or further in the city?  Thoughts :)

Scottsdale is OK, but not to far north. The area around Scottsdale Fashion Square mall is good for those of us in the SE Valley as well as those further north.

I think Scottsdale is a good location but then I live on the East side they that may sway my thinking.

Scottsdale is where you want to be.

As for the airport area, forget it.  Aside from the few airport hotels that are nearby, the area is generally industrial and seedy at night.

I think downtown is centrally located maybe some place like the downtown Hotels are a central location. We are into season so rates are going to be higher this time of year where ever you stay.  Stay away from Metro Center area.  Good Luck hope you enjoy Phoenix!

That you can get a good rate on from priceline.com.

Lots of good restaurants, entrainment and shopping close by.

But remember the Phoenix Open Golf tournament events start Jan 31st and last till Feb 6th so rooms will be hard to get around that time.

I'll take a look around and figure out a good time to come.  I wont be able to travel until after the 12th of February, so mid month hopefully will not be as much of an issue room wise.  Thanks again you guys!
