There are 12 of us guys coming to Phoenix and I'd like to hire 2-4 strippers who would be out going and fun to make it something the groom will never forget but not regret.

What is an expected rate I should look for?

Don't do it.  

The number of horror stories around "private" strippers at parties would make me leery of it.  That business seems to attract the strippers on the fringe, usually with bad habits.  The good strippers can make a ton of money without taking on the added risk.  

Your chance of fucking things up for your buddy are also fairly high.  In a group of 10 people, the likelihood of one causing an issue is pretty high.  Not many wives will be super happy if some was banging hookers at a bachelor party.  

Go to a club.  See a ton of girls.  Bring a bunch of money.  You'll have a good time.  If you bring in a private show, expect a few girls stoned out of their mind and a angry looking 300 pound guard or pimp.    

This info largely comes from the dancers I got to know who ended up escorting on the side.  They all wouldn't touch the private dancer thing with a ten foot pole

Thanks for the thoughts, but I'm sorry, I don't buy it.  
You haven't really explained why a dancer won't do private.  
She's worried about fucking a guy in a private setting? If your friend is escorting on the side, she's already doing it.
She doesn't want to make a guy cheat? What's stopping a married guy from doing things in a strip club? (I've been to Montreal, not sure about AZ club backrooms).
Safety is an issue? Same could be said about any escort meetup.
In fact, dancing is probably more safe since you're not alone, you aren't expected to do anything. No risk of STD's, etc.  
Bring your own body guard protection if needed. Not an issue.

The way I see it, a girl can make hundreds more without having to split it with agency / strip club.  
That must attract ALL girls (not just ones on the "fringe").
I mean, I've been to one where the girl gets paid hundreds/hr for playing naked twister.  

A quick search and there are dozens of agencies. I'm just looking for ONE recommendation or some independent girl *cough* Madison? *cough*
We aren't expecting "extras", or a Thailand exotic show. Just a few girls who are out-going, fun and hot.

I did parties for a few years and I loved it.  
I had my own security, never worked alone and got paid a ton. But everyone has different experiences. I worked for a private, word of mouth only company

I live in Vegas as well, just checking out the AZ board to get a heads up on what to expect my first trip. I don't think there is anything wrong with hiring a few TER or P411 girls (2-4) for a bachelor party. If the girls have a good head on their shoulders they will work as a team and make it completely CRYSTAL CLEAR to the man in charge that if there are ANY lines crossed or as far as deposit/cash exchange goes, its taken care of before hand there shouldn't be a problem. I mean, we are all respectful adults here and its not rocket science. Should be a fun event! That being said, if you decide to keep it in AZ or move it to LV...do keep me in mind!
