Hi all!
I will not go into a long tirade but I wanted to mention something that happens to both the ladies and gentlemen in this hobby.
There was a provider asking for a reference on a very nice guy from Phoenix today... or so I thought:( It was a person with a common name:( The guy I thought it was is awesome... but not the same guy!
This can happen with ladies when they get confused by someone with the same name as someone else, as well as a gentleman looking for a lady and associating a name with another provider.
Just a reminder to please be careful and make sure you are thinking about the same person if you are a provider or that if you are a gentleman make sure you are contacting the provider you are thinking of by matching review and memory information with their website info.
Ladies.. you don't have to call the guy... that just makes the guy uncomfortable....especially when you ask why he's seeing her instead of you again:(  Ask the lady to get details of where he saw you.... (location).... or what you talked about? It isn't that hard to take an extra step to make sure.
Just a reminder to be safe:)

XOXOXO
Donna

more info is usually needed. I had a lady wanting a reference not long ago and all the info I got was somethings we talked about and a name but too often Jim or Bob isn't enough as it seems every-ones name is that...heee heee!

It might help if the gent would contact his reference 1st just to make sure were all on the same page. This is really helpful when it has been a while!

Hope everyone is enjoying the great weather, it's not going to much longer!

Take Care and Hobby Happy!!!
kisses

...or you can check his TER handle and see if he is whitelisted! There are many good ways to check references, both for provider and hobbyist.

So, besides one provider calling another (sometimes awkward)... what are the other ways a provider or hobbyist can do research? Who's got the best way to check? Suggestions besides the obvious?

that's really one of the best ways...not all hobbyist have a handle much less review or get white listed.

As far as checking out the provider that's obvious.

jim = "the guy with the really big xxxx"

bob = "she loved my huge xxxx"

oh yeah now i remember.

and I thank those who have for me, to verify the hobbyest then alot of confusion can be avoided.  If not avoided then at least there is a starting point for verification.

Sometimes names can be confused, but for references I also tell them to use my profession as well, and then they know exactly who I am.
