Just a bunch of Italians well some of my bother in laws aren’t but they still enjoy being with us. We cook eat, drink and tell stories till the wee hours of the morning then we all find a place to sleep on a couch, floor or if you’re lucky you may get a bed. Then we do the same thing the next morning make breakfast eat and start cooking sauce with pasta or raviolis and Italian sausage with home made bread for the afternoon dinner. Then we all go home some time that evening a rest up for New Years Eve and start all over again.
We’ll eat and drink till the end of the year then we all go to rehab after Jan 1st. Just fun times without care in the world but reality always comes back when you return to the real world.
Happy Holliday’s every one may you have a very happy and safe holiday season.
Since the board has been such a ghost town lately... Thought I'd open up a discussion as to what everyone has planned for the holidays. No matter what your religious beliefs or cultural background, I'm curious as to what some of our 'favorite' traditions are during the holidays. Warm car rides with family to look at neighborhood light displays? Outside bonfires with the fellahs and an endless supply of beer? Getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to attend church with the wife's family? (Kidding.) Travel?
I've been feeling a little like 'Christmas Past' lately and am trying to get a bit more into the holiday spirit. The kids are older, immediate family has multiplied and scattered, and the traditions of yesteryear have started to fade. (My cats just aren't very cooperative when it comes to helping build the gingerbread house.)
It's hard to believe it's almost here again... seemed just like yesterday.
One of my traditions that got started by accident about 20 years ago with my daughter is going out for pizza and playing games at Peter Piper Pizza on Christmas Eve. The past few years we have modified the tradition slightly. We still go out and eat pizza and play games. But we now give the tickets we win playing the games to a small child who doesn't have very many tickets. It's fun to see his eyes light up because now he can get a larger prize. Merry Christmas all.
they fell through. There seems to be plenty of football, so I'm going to set some time aside, and sit on my lazy ass on the couch, eat a lot of food that's not good for me, burp, fart, and scratch myself. We all have priorities.
