Ok, I've already made public that I am facing surgery later this year.  Since I am going to be offering specials, contests, etc...to cover my surgery costs, I feel it would be best to publicly announce what exactly I'm having surgery for because I don't want any rumors circulating.  So if this is too off-topic or useless of a post, please do yourself the favor of clicking back right now as you don't need to read the following.

First of all, I'm not having any kind of plastic surgery.  Nothing is going to be implanted, sucked out, or pulled tight.  The bottom line is that I need my jaw reconstructed.  I was told as a teen that if I didn't do it that I would have physical problems as I got older but back then, they wired the jaw shut so I chose not to do it.  Now it is causing problems(I'm not going to explain them here but if you contact me and want to know, I'll tell you)and it just isn't an option any longer.  

I wish I could just have it done today and get it over with but it's a commitment of over a year.  I've already seen a doctor and orthodontist working together and I need to have dental work, all 4 wisdom teeth removed and periodontal work before I even get braces.  Yep, I'm the lady who is going to be wearing braces soon.  I'm hoping it's by May that the other work will be completed because the sooner I get the braces the sooner I will have the surgery and I am hoping they will do the surgery by December.  My upper braces will be clear though!

The surgery is considered ortognathic and will have maxillofacial and craniofacial procedures done.  So that's the general idea, I don't need to get into all the details but it is very costly which is why I am trying to find fun and interesting ways to earn extra money.  I am very committed to this and know it's going to work out well.

So before anyone doubts me or my motives,just ask me, as I have all my doctor evaluations, etc.  If you know me, you'll know I'm honest and my intentions are good and I would never scam or take advantage of anyone or their good hearts.  I just want the truth to get out before any rumors get out of hand.

And no, I won't be doing any traveling this year for pleasure.  I will do a working tour of some U.S. cities but won't be leaving the country(Unless of course I could work the "Windows" of Amsterdam which would be kinda cool).

If you have found this to be another useless post, well, I wanted the truth to be told from ME!  And quite frankly, I feel it's relevant as I will be posting about montly contests.  BTW thanks to all who made bids on my auction.  There will be another contest of a different sort that I will be announcing in a couple of days so stay tuned!

 I can under stand only to well why you didn’t want to wire your jaw shut having it done to myself when I was in 6th grade.  Want to loose weight? Break your jaw. Want to starve to death. Break your jaw. I spent six weeks on a liquid diet. Almost all of it Instant Breakfast: morning, noon and night. I was never so hungry in my life. Hopefully you are not going to have to do anything as painful; I want to wish you luck with this procedure. Maybe at some point time I can make a contribution to your favorite charity to help with you with this endeavor.

You certainly didn't need to.
I think most of us take each other at their word and if you are having a medical issue, that's your business, not ours.

But, there will be some jerks who will make a big deal over this.

Ignore them.

I have had the pleasure of spending time with Roxanne this last month and have discussed her medical condition. She will go through a very extensive procedure and quite honestly I think she is very brave. I heartily advocate seeing her both to help one of our own but also you will have simply a wonderful time!

Personally I don't think you needed to say anything.  However, you are wise to declare what is going on to avoid misperceptions, as would most certainly occur.  Pure class.  Rob

as a result of being on the tail end of a hockey stick.....(healded poorly and hence the surgery)....they made a video (movie back then) of the procedure....Good for you for coming clean up front as this hobby has a way letting rumors run wild....best of luck...if you want to talk about this, reply to this post and I will reach out to you via email or PM.
