I was having a nice dinner with my parents when a client  called .I answered the phone to a gentleman that asked if I be able to see him  in two hrs. I said yes please call me in an hr. to get directions I cut my evening short to go home and get ready for our date . He never called back. I would have spent more time with my parents had he not made plans with me. Guys please, as soon as you know you are not going to make your appointment let us know so we can have time for our friends and familys. I know plans change but a call would be nice. Victoria

Where did the reference checking come in at?

I would have never cut me evening short without a little more info.

Did you call him back?
Most gents would have called back....this is a typical Saturday night for just the joe blow calling around.

Either way does it matter? I could not talk right then so I figured when he called back In an hr. I would check his references and give directions at that time. the point was I left to make sure I could talk and set the appointment.I did call back and there was no answer.......

to any consultant time IS money. Logistics are logiistics, once you set up one client you pass up any other possibilities, this (lost opportunity cost) actually does add up over time. I dont care if its your lawyer, accountant or VV....not the right way to act.
