I do not know how many of you caught this on Sunday night, but there was a short blub about a man who committed a horrific attack on a woma, using a staplegun.  That was the lead.  

But onwards in the story, it was apparent that the man had hired an escort off of craigslist.  During the session, a pimp busted-in and attenpted to rob the man using a gun.  The client fought back, somehow disarmed the pimp, grabbed a staplegun and kept on fighting with it.  But he was arrested after they took the lady to the hospital with multiple staple wounds. I'm guessing they figure he went too far with the staplegun.

GGL, When I think Hobby, I know Craigslist is part of a branch to our community but really do not consider them part of this TER. It is a sad story and I feel sorry for the client involved. Thankfully we rarely see these sort of situations here on our boards. I would guess this man did not do his homework on this gal first.Victoria

Victoria, perhaps not part of the "community", but there are a lot of girls who do biz exclusively through CL ads, and TER ends up being an evaluation tool for the gents who are considering them.  So there is some definite crossover.

As of late, the CL scene seems to be frought with young girls who are working with pimp/thugs and their business model is to lure a guy into a hotel room and rob him.  It probably will be just a matter of time before they happen upon a gent who brought along more than just a staplegun. And when that happens, watch out, because the pressure will be on everyone (not just those who list on CL).

This is why I think sites like this are so important.  If you don't clean up your own backyard, someone will do it for you.  And Sherriff Joe is always more than happy to do it.  The robbers need to be put out of biz first.

I have alot of respect for your posts and opinions.. but that said, I think CL IS relevant to the community and TER because it is the providers on the 'outskirts' that are most prey to abuse by pimps as well as clients who visit them. But of course everyone has to start somewhere and plays their role. I personally have had the luck of meeting one of the most sweet, honest, mature, and discreet ladies in the biz who posts anonymously on CL, who would never be wrapped up in this kind of thing so it just goes to show there are good eggs on CL too.
TER is of course a great tool for mitigating the risks of the hobby but the risks are still there.

Your 100% right . I guess I just like to think that we here on the boards rarely deal with this sort of element. Iknow there are great providers on CL some are right here with us on the boards....
