Phoenix guys and girls......a little advise for an LA guy?!!

I'll be visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area first part of Jan., and would sincerely appreciate a bit of advise:

#1:  Hotel:  I'm looking for a very upscale hotel, with a hip/modern vibe...something similar to a W Hotel, or the Mondrian in LA.  I'll be visiting my sister in north Scottsdale, some of the trip.

#2:  Beyond my normal review search homework, I'd love to find a really special lady.  Do any of you have a particularly wonderful recommendation?  I genuinely love all women, but my slight preference is mature, natural, and deliciously naughty when the time is right.  I'm not going to hurt anyone or parade a farm animal through the room, but when the passion starts a flowin' I don't want to keep track of any rules...wink, wink.

Have a wonderful Holiday all,

Another couple hotel recommendation would be the James Hotel or the Caleo Resort and Spa. They are both similar to the Mondrian or a W Hotel.
Mature, Natural and Naughty? I think we have what you are looking for. Check the website and give me a call or drop me an e-mail so we can make your trip one to rememeber.

I have stayed in many of the Ian Schrager hotels across the country and I've stayed in four W's. I can tell you right now, we don't have anything in town that is anything like that. The closest we have is James Hotel, which is a (barely) converted Ramada Inn. The paint and so-so decor doesn't detract from the fact that this was once a motel. An experienced traveler will pick up on the subtleties that the owners themselves missed.

I would recommend Phoenician for someone like you, looking for a more hip vibe. That's about as close as it'll get in Scottsdale. Now of course if you're interested in the Heavenly Bed and Shower, I recommend the Westin Kierland.

Go to Tripadviser.com and do a search for Scottsdale hotels to get an idea of what you're looking for. We do have a hotel in Central-ish Phoenix just opened by two unknown hoteliers called Clarendon, and that comes close to a W vibe with a Schrager flare. But it isn't in Scottsdale.

Good luck. I can't help you in the other department, as I'm relatively young. :) Hope you have a good trip and I hope this info helps.

anything on TER,I just lurk every once in a while. I'm doing my damnest trying to retire from "the hobby". But since we've seen many of the same ladies over the years(reviewed or not) and I feel I owe you one for a recommendation you gave me about 2 years ago.
I can highly suggest you see Ciara. I have no reason to shill anyone since I'm really not active any longer. I would compare her, if not better than, to a lady we both think very highly of and that would be Stevie of LV. Good looking, mature, intelligent,a great dinner companion and really knows her way around the.....,wink!!

I would have pm'd you but I'm not a vip any longer.--Sometimes this retirement sucks.

Hope you enjoy the area, I'm going to be here for 3 or 4 years and then move back to San Diego to really retire.

I tried to hook up with Chrissey Stone (once with netmichelle) several times, but it never worked out.

Go with Mya. I really want to see her when she comes out to SD, OC or LA and would love to hear your opinion of her. I have some sort of weird long distance infatuation that must be satisfied. Good luck, and looking forward to hearing the end result.

PS. I know I owe you a beer or ten, just been busy, I'm not flakin'

I would highly recommend the James Hotel in Scottsdale on Drinkwater and Indian School Rd.....Very upscale and modern, since we seem to have similar tastes, I am sure you will not be disappointed with this suggestion.
Sounds to me like you are looking for someone like myself...mature, natural, and a little spice when the time is right...and the classy, distingusihed, girl next door for all the other times...
Let me know if I can help you plan any of your trip, I am very familiar with the valley, and can help with any other plans you may want advice on.  Call or write, even if you just want some suggestions on your trip planning, I would be more than happy to help.

The James Hotel? It is nothing more than a renovated Howard Johnson's that attracts herds of label conscious pedestrians. Join them for a fashionable game of "Name your  flavored Vodka" or "Don't quote me". The James' website boasts of celebrity visits from the likes of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. Poor Conrad, although still deceased, is certainly nauseous. A publicity announcement of celebrity guests itself is reason enough to avoid it like the plague.

You disseminated the message with alacrity and the desired  responses followed. Shocking that you didn't announce a call to the Black Card travel number prior to your inquiry....or was that to follow? If so, please accept my humble apology.

My suggestion would be to stay at the Mondrian. They will have your VIP chaise waiting at the Sky Bar. If not enough people notice, enabling a smirk and candid wave,  try the Clift in San Francisco, also a Morgans Hotel Group "facility". Really........ either is just a jet, limo and jump from Scottsdale.

"Patek Phillipe is a timepiece of practicality.....not an announcement of your timely arrival."

I was in James for $100 on a special.  If I'd paid $200 or more per night, I'd've been pissed.  It's like an Oakwood Garden Apts. with a weird paint job and photos of a Karate guy splapped on the outside of the doors.  There was a piece of chocolate cake left in the hall for two plus days.  Drinks by the pool come in a plastic cup.  And the TV didn't work properly.  And Anna never showed up!  Smart girl?

Your hotel suggestions are great, but this gentlemen is coming HERE from LA, so the hotels you've suggested, while great, are not going to help him here in Phoenix. I agree with your assessment of James motel, though. :)

Megan

PS If the original poster reads this, one more suggestion I have is Santuary. That's a fantastic upscale (and I hate that word) hotel.

A few months ago. I visited one of my favorite ladies there, she was there for a photo shoot that day.  The accomodations are fantastic.
