I have a question.
I have always been curious as to what exactly it is that sets providers apart. Like what makes one a good provider or someone else just ok. What is it that makes you say,"wow, I can't wait to see her again!". I mean things other than the obvious,(such as looks and breasts). What in your opinion makes a woman an excellent provider? Just something I have been curious about for a long time. Any answers are welcome from providers or from our gentlemen friends.

Someone who has the ability to creat an illusion. Simply someone who can make me believe (even if it’s just for an hour) that I’m fantastic and the erotic center of the universe. Providers that posses a sensuality and a sultry atmosphere on top of it creat a distraction that keeps you from being able to remember who you are. Extremely rare. Only experienced it with two providers out of ~200. Usually there is allways a part of my mind rooted in reality. The two providers would make me forget my name and they weren’t the prettiest or the best bodies, the performance wasn’t technically the best either.
One thing I do know is that is very different with every hobbiest. As you know by now hobbiest are an odd group of people and being able to find generallities about what turns everyones knobb would be a difficult task. That is why I think they get excited about consistancy of service with value in pricing. In general we have evolved from being ripped off allot before we get to the point that we get consistancy of service.

it's more the way the provider treats me as opposed to looks, breasts or the sex. If she acts like a friend with benefits I'm more inclined to come back.

I agree with Occularblues.  The great provider can read the hobbyist ahead of time - does he want to play? does he want a friend? does he need an escape?  Then the provider creates the an "illusion" made-to-order for the particular hobbyist.  I believe that alot of providers portray and even rationalize to themselves that what they do is therapeutic, but if the provider is implying anything more than recreation from their services (such as an off-the-clock friendship), then she is simply manipulating for $$ and ultimately doing a disservice to the hobbyist.  That said, the best provider, to me, is one with whome you have an honest understanding (another word would be "non-relationship")and know where you stand.  If you both honestly understand the non-relationship and still have a good time, then it works for everyone.

Each person has his or her own perspective of things. So saying that what I happen to like in someone someone else may not.I guess the best thing that I can say is that all of the providers that I have met have their own special qualities. Most I feel that I have clicked with and there is a hand full that I have not.So I guess what I want to say is that it is all in the chemistry between the two people.And Donna you are one of the ones that I had a GREAT time with.So IMHO you are an excellent provider.Because you have a lot of those special quaities that I happen to like.

Donna you know what makes a good provider.  Because you are an excellent person.  You care about your customers and how they feel.  You go the extra distance when needed.  And most of all you are real.  And yes I do know you.

I have to agree with dg27. You have to be honest with people. Another thing I look for is to be treated with respect. I allways treat people with respect & expect to b treated the same. My mom allways said, "If you can't say something nice about a person. Don't say anything at all." Espically in my case with my disability. If a provider doesn't mind it (or even acts like it) I will be back. Cause it makes me feel good.

Maturity, personality & performance in that order.  No long winded statements here, just short and sweet.
And yes Donna, you meet those criteria.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression!  I choose a provider initially based upon her description of herself, her photos and her reviews.  Price is also an issue for me, so I won’t even take into consideration someone who is above my threshold.  My next cut comes from the initial contact.  My basic goal is to find providers that are a mix of great personality as well as talent.   That is kind of my definition of the term Girl Friend Experience.  Looks are important to some degree, but personality and communication skills are the key at first.  I usually like the first contact to be by email and if the response to my note is informative and friendly that helps a lot.  One word or very abrupt answers don’t make the cut and I won’t pursue that person further.  Note that I don’t want or expect an extended dialog here, just a friendly response to my request.  When the initial meeting actually happens I am usually really nervous and it shows!  A great provider will quickly make me feel comfortable and like we’re in a meeting of two old friends.  I prefer the sexual part of the encounter to be slow and intimate.  Mutual kissing and undressing each other is better for me than just "get comfortable!"  Although, I realize that as an LE filter, that is often the norm and I won’t hold it against a provider on the first visit.  Kinky sex isn’t necessary for me, but fun sex is.  I sort of define fun by both of us discovering how we mutually enjoy the experience of different positions, styles and speeds.  The after-sex part is an important wind-down for me too.  Touching, talking and recovering is far superior to getting a bum’s rush out the door.  Don’t get me wrong, I know I’m buying the Girl Friend Experience, not the Girl Friend.  However, for the short time we’re together, I want her to BE the girl friend.  If she is, I’ll be back.

This is a very good question, but it has several answers.  For myself, it boils down to mood.  I have tested the waters for the most part of the local providers to find the GFE with a mix of incredible sex, but to no avail.  I have found each, but not in the same provider.  Each provider is special in their own way, and I like them for that.  It seems a lot of providers are active on this board, and I am intrigued because I have not seen any of them.  I am lucky, I have not had any bad experiences, but there were providers that I wouldn't see again, just because something didn't click.  I will return to a provider if there was great conversation or great sex.  It is just hard to find the two of them together.

You are giving your opinion of the providers, but you state you have not seen any of them.  What gives?  Go see Krystal Lynn, Chrissy Stone or Little Debbie.  After that, come back and then you will be qualified to give your opinions.

For me, it is almost magic. I believe I am the only person in the providers world. Looks are not that important, as long as there are no tattoos or implants.

The word "no" must not be in her vocabulary. Conversation is not as important as intuition. It takes time, so the first couple of sessions may be uncomfortable, but as long as each session gets better, I will continue with the provider.

I am sorry.  I didn't know that seeing particular providers would make me qualified to give an opinion.  My bad.

For me it is a feeling of connection.  Sure looks are important, if she is not good looking a give a tip and am on my way.  But Over the past three years I have seen many, many providers and I have only seen two more than one time.  Each of them I have seen about 8 times over the past six months.  So it has to be much more than looks.  The sex has to be good, but there has been great sex with more than just these two  providers.  I guess for me I really what to feel that GFE and for the time I am with her believe there is something more than just the sport. I am new to TER and have never been with one of the many reviewed providers.  I have always sought new girls that I know nothing about.  I know this can be a little risky, but I have not yet brought myself to venture out into the world of public reviewed providers. I have my list and Donna, Sky, Jordan of course, myMichelle, little Debbie, Crissy Stone and several others are one it, but up to now I have not felt any of the "public gals"
can provide that intimate feeling I am looking for.  I hope one of you will prove me wrong
