Sonds like you did miss out.  But, who know how much extra it would've cost you.

I've only gotton one "legitimate" massage in my life.  I had no idea what the protocol was, so I showed up in a pair of black "inbetween" u-traw, and got on the table with the towel.  She (about a 30 year old, not a hottie, but nice) did a great massage, and when she was done, she asked me "if there was anything else that needed attention".  If I had been in a MP, there would have been no question what she was asking.  It this case, I just hesitated for a moment, and then couldn't believe what was coming out of my mouth, I said that there wasn't anything else.

Did I miss the opportunity?, because I think she was offering.

What do people "wear" for a legit massage?

Our shops do 'legit' massage. I personally completed a 750 hour massage course at Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College (I also did my internship hours at John C Lincoln under a Physical Therapist there.) I completed my National Certification for massage as soon as I graduated.

In answer to your question, Phoenix city code requires your privates to be covered by an opaque covering. We use towels and you need to be preferably nude under it. I offer small or large and always hope that they choose the small because I hate working around the large ones. A lot of ladies judge by whether or not you cover yourself as to if you're LE. Sherriff joe showed us all that coverage doesn't matter for his guys :o( Chances are high this therapist was offering exactly what you thought she was and you blew it! LOL

One of my pet peeves with massage shops/parlors has always been that there are those working in them that couldn't or wouldn't do a 'legit' massage if their lives depended on it! These are the people that have given massage the stigma that it has. Every time a person comes into a massage establishment looking for a good massage without getting one it ruins it for others. It also causes some complaints to vice/LE and that affects us all too. I personally think that if someone doesn't want to do massage they don't belong in a massage shop. Be an escort, lingerie model, dancer. etc. and leave the massage to the professionals who love doing it.. I also think that you should be able to have the best of 'both worlds' by getting great extras with a massage. After all, what's a great dinner without a sweet dessert at the end? It's a shame that it has to be such a big problem!

You dress the same, though I usually leave my briefs on as a favor to the therapist.  At least one seemed to appreciate the message that I wasn't looking for more than a massage that day.  But many of the massages I get actually require reaching significantly below the belt, so the briefs do have to be pushed aside a bit.

In massage school we were all required to get completely nude (under a sheet) when we were receiving massages. It was necessary so that we could learn proper draping/covering techniques AND to teach us how vulnerable it can make a person feel.

Any 'legit' massage therapist will provide you with something to drape with and expect you to be nude under it. If asked about how much to take off the general response from an MT is that you (the client) should undress according to your 'comfort level'.  ;o)
