I agree with you Northdak.   A good example is this thread.  If all replies were posted within a reasoneable time than it wouldn't take 3 days to get down this far down the line.  Ofcourse this post will be up in May.

Several people have raised the question of why their posts do not apprear immediately on the board and why it can take 24 hrs or more for them to appear. The answer is Moderation.

All TER discussion boards are moderated. Moderation on one board applies to all TER boards. This means that someone is incharge of reading posts and approving posts for those people that are under moderation. New posters to the board and most providers are placed under moderation. Your posts will continue to be moderated until you have a history of level headed posting. The more you post, the quicker you will be unmoderated.

Most providers will remain moderated. This makes it possible for the Moderator to make sure that she stays within the posting guidelines for ads and links.

If you have a history of posting and would like to have your posts unmoderated, just drop me a line, either by posting to the board or through TER's email system and I will review your posting history.

I'm all for moderation but I do believe that when unmoderated posts ripping on myself or anyone else for that matter go up, moderated individuals should be allowed to defend themselves in a timely manner.  Three posts have gone up at different times under different names/alias's and yet my original post to the first attack is still not posted.  Where is the fairness in that?   And level headed posting?  Come on now...who's monitoring Al Greene and his "it's not who you know, but who you blo" comments?

I tend to agree...  It is not uncommon to be attacked by some bogus handle with a bogus claim only to have 500 people read it in a 48 hour period before the response you wrote 10 minutes after the attack gets posted.  :(  By then, the thread is long off the first page and people will assume that you didn't respond because you just don't care.

Believe me, I don't envy your position Michael..that is a lot of work to do for 1 person all day every day, but stuff like that can seem quite unfair at times.

Thank you for the explanation. (eom)

I'm a complete lurker but serious devotee of these boards. I've posted only one review at the request of a lady I know very well in San Francisco.
You guys have been an invaluable resource to me in assessing what an overall experience might be like with women whom you rank and who are reviewed on your site.
In Phoenix specifically this led me to wonderful experiences with Chrissy Stone, and with Sky Silverman before she abdicated this world.
There was some controversey recently about Mya, a lady I've come to know very well through extended visits in Phoenix as well as in other cities.
She is a totally honest, incredibly sexy and desireable woman, who I am proud to count as a friend. I only hope she feels the same way about me.
So before you give any credence to anyone who wants to diminish her appeal or raelly trash her, you should look really hard at the motivation.
Just one very discriminating and serious hobbyist's point of view.

How much does the Job pay?..and can I get hired to moderate? ...DW

No pay...you get a free VIP membership and are no longer allowed to post reviews, that is it.

Anyone interested in being a moderator, contact Girl Next Door

would love to be un-moderated.

Thanks for doing a thankless job.

PS  You ever going to make a trip to PHX,  it is a hot place and the weather is warm  too.

I do agree with the comment by Taylor that moderation is absolutely necessary but to be effective, the posts have to be put up in a timely manner or the thread is lost.
I don't know what would it take to remedy this situation but so far - good job Michael.  For just a free VIP mambership and no freebies - damn thankless job!

a certain amount of time...if the moderator can't moderate within that time frame...get more moderators....moderators sound cheap if all they get is a free VIP!  I agree that alot of these replies lose their meaning by the time they are posted....things are taken out of context and contribute to the DRAMA...which does no one any good.
